You’d think these companies would refuse to do this shite. But they don’t.
A lot of this can be traced back to the idea that the board of directors is responsible for the "stakeholders", not the shareholders... Leftist b***s*** ruins everything it touches

No wonder trucks are so expensive, they're having to make up for the losses on the green crap. Blame the government on that with the current CAFE standards.

I have had 2 ford trucks, one Chevy truck, and now a Toyota….
They were all different but all good…..

Ford also donates a ton of money to leftist causes.

Totally worth it for our kids & grandkids future…

We told them …. as their customers, we told them. They did it anyway.
They were forced to do it by the governement, not the customers. For every F250 diesel they produced, they had to produce an electric vehicle to offset the carbon footprint. Ford wanted to keep selling trucks, the EPA made them lose money to do so. That's why unelected beuracrats should not be in charge.

With Tesla's being so reasonably priced, they can't artificially inflate the cost and have consumers pay for it like they do with their trucks. Tesla is years ahead of Ford (and everyone else) while keeping prices down. The Model Y is probably the best value vehicle currently.

Ford just paid for the politicians that arranged this payment arrangement.
I'm no industry insider but I'm pretty sure this was driven from the top down, not car companies begging to build electrics. The government gave them impossible mileage standards, wrote the law to ensure that the "solution" was EVs, then gave manufacturers subsidies because everybody knew that EVs weren't feasible yet, if they ever will be.
ETA I used "law" above but I think they were just bureaucrats creating standards, not congress.

Wonder if GM did any better since they hired Biden’s niece, or whoever she is?

And announced company wide bonuses this morning, so they are still making bank.
Reuters
DETROIT, Feb 11 (Reuters) - Ford Motor (F.N), opens new tab CEO Jim Farley told employees in a town hall on Wednesday that companywide bonuses would be set to 130%, according to four people familiar with the matter, as the automaker delivered on its goal to improve vehicle quality.
Farley told attendees that the higher payouts are mainly due to the automaker’s improved initial vehicle quality, which measures repairs in the first 90 days of ownership. Farley said the metric is the best it has been in a decade, two of the people said.

The left did a great job of getting board positions at a lot of these large companies, even in some companies making up the majority. Between leftists legislation and left aligned board members, it’s a death cult.

what.....they LOST their charge....

That's embarrassing. That number should statistically be zero.

And we wonder why new vehicle prices are so high.

The big 3 deserve to go out of business for how shitty they have operated for decades. Pure buffoons building garbage and laughing at the suckers paying $100k for a truck. Just laughing at them.

Oh certainly, that has a huge part in it to. Also heavily affects reliability.
And the rank and file leftist voter doesn't like the high prices and increase in maintenance costs either.... but the morons keep voting for it. Ballot after ballot after ballot after ballot.

There are multiple stories out there of new GM vehicles with that 6.2 failing before the customer got home with it after leaving the dealer lot. Imaging dropping over 100k on an Escalade and it blow up before you reach the gas station to fill the tank the first time.
GM has been building V8 engines since 1955. How TF does that even happen?
They need to oust that DEI CEO and get an engineer in that seat.

It makes me sick that they even have to measure repairs within the first 90 days. I’m sure they have another metric that isn’t broadcast to the public for ensuring they have high maintenance in the 3-5 year range
