Good job Florida!

Can't wait to see people want to rebuild the wall separating church and state when one school district or state does something similar with a different religion.

One draft version of the group's offering would state "E Pluribus Unum, In God We Trust" in the center of a circle with red, white and blue stars and stripes. Around the outside of the circle would be the words of the First Amendment, "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof."

I hate seeing the "replace 'God' with..." arguments. We aren't arguing for "religion" or just any deity to be taught. The reason why Christians like myself want God to be acknowledged and Christ to be recognized is because we believe in the one, living God that is owed such honor.

Well I guess it's a good thing that mandating that our country's motto being displayed is absolutely nothing like the King or Queen of England dictating what each church should teach.

Well first of all, that does not coincide with this nations founding.
Secondly, I don’t think that anyone who has knowledge of the teachings of allah would want anything referring to allah near anyone impressionable, especially children.

My thing with these people is they act like this country wasn’t founded on Christianity as the bedrock for everything else. This is a Christian nation, it’s also an incredibly tolerant nation as Christians are inherently tolerant people. A helluva lot moreso than Moslems or atheists.

Doesn’t Allah mean God? Just in another language?

You do realize that since Christianity, Judaism, and Islam are all Abrahamic religion; therefore Allah, God, and Yahweh are all the same being.

You just called your almighty God "a made up deity"

It's literally the same made up god.

That's true. As much as these people hate Christianity, they wouldn't want to live in a world without it.

Moral relativism is no substitute for the moral law of God.

Ahh yes, my favorite type of person. The conceded arse who is so smart that he or she has the answers to everything. Except for when they don’t. Self labeled intellectuals are the worst form of humanity. And might I say, incredibly stupid.

You haven't really studied all of these religions, have you? If you have, you wouldn't have said what you said.

No he didn't.

I'll help you out a bit: if someone was asked to describe you and then proceeded to describe someone completely different from you, would you say that their description of you and who you actually are match just because they claimed to be talking about you? Of course not. Who we are is much more than our names. The Allah of the Qur'an is a completely different being (or non-being) than the God of the Bible. Descriptions matter.

My thing is that you decide to ignore our founding fathers when they explicitly say the opposite.

Article 11 of the Treaty of Tripoly by John Adams
"As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion..."

That treaty was ratified unanimously by the sentate. So every senator at the time agreed with the statement as well.

Also, the constitution does not reference god or Christianity once.
