They should have asked, have you considered sexual orientation when hiring, giving bonuses or promoting?
The answer would have been overwhelming yes. So they're bigoted and illegally discriminated.

Good.
Unless you work in the sex industry, sexual orientation should never help your career. If it did, that would be discrimination.

There is no doubt whatsoever that being gay helps their careers. I have a number of colleagues who are poor performers, unknowledgable, and bad at their jobs - but, because they are openly gay they are kept on. The same goes for some other demographics in many cases. Not saying everyone that is gay or PoC are this way, but preferential treatment is 100% real for minorities, I see it every day with my company.

Tangentially, for the male posters, would you want a gay proctologist? On one hand it might be awkward but on the other they might also have a more tender touch or at least know some novel angles to hit
Only a true flamer would want a proctologist who uses two hands, or more than one finger, for that matter. (Ba dum, ching!!!)
Note: Marcus Monroe, if you’re out there, you need to work this one into your subway act!!!!

They are more experienced at sucking off the boss.
Or they like being an arse kisser.

Gay people not feeling safe coming out at work = conservatives not feeling safe coming out at work now

The result is that the attention and sympathy seekers will get more and more absurd to get the attention they desire. You have already seen this progression from simply “gay” to all the additional letters in their alphabet. One can only imagine what they will do next. Hint: hide your pets and children.

Good. Why should this affect your career?

I'd feel more uncomfortable with a lesbian proctologist holding a scalpel.

Pretending to be gay has gotten me pretty far

Being fig isn't enough anymore... That's too vanilla and played out... Now you have to be non-binary or trans for a hiring advantage.

They should look for careers in theatre, ice skating, fashion and competitive dance.

If being gay isn’t supposed to matter then this should be celebrated.

It’s awkward with a straight proctologist. I learned that the digital exam is damn near worthless. My doctor discovered one tumor in his entire 30 year career, and that one was last year. Those tests are notoriously inaccurate. So I stopped them about five years ago.

Theyre old news. When they move onto MAPs being the new victems then all the troons will feel left out. Idk who theyll promote after that... probably make up a new sick " taboo" thing for all the edgelords who just want to feel part of something.
