Hell. There was a teacher in Oregon who the school knew was being investigated for molesting a student and they left him in the classroom up until the day he was arrested.

Not saying we should condone it but this is hardly a serious crime. In fact I would argue the guilt the 14yo feels because she is in jail will be 1000x worse than any injury from the sex.
