I'm not going to say there is no woman who can successfully pilot a plane - but in my experience, women are significantly weaker in spatial relations. How far something is / how much time it will take to get there / how much material can fit into a space of certain dimensions / etc. Females seem noticeably weaker in those areas.

She only had 500 flight hours.

You’ve got fighter pilots having their first flight in a F-35 with 250 hours total time.

Military training is not like civilian pilot training or any other kind of job when it comes to hours.

I mean sort of.

More rigorous selection process to fly a 1 trillion dollar (i joke) jet versus a sikorski.

Still doesn't disprove the point. 500 hours is still relatively green

ETA: if those 500 hours were experience in combat or even half in combat. I would buy it ha

So this may be very simple minded but when the traffic controller says "do you have a visual on that plane" or " do you see that plane"..(paraphrasing)... seems like if two aircraft are that close they would say something more like "stop and turn, you have a plane coming in behind you"...or something more detailed?

So also the helicopter pilot who responded to ATC could’ve been this tranny if that’s really true. Jo Ellis definitely has a male voice. Just listened to the 30 minute podcast from 2 days ago. Dude voice.

According to what he-she-it said in it's bio it didn't have the lopadicktomy.

However, it identifies as a female.

She was a captain, so at least 4 years in. Who flies that little over 4 years?

Flying a F-35 over Nevada vs flying a BlackHawk at night in the busiest airspace?

But I think equal blame goes to ATC and/or standard procedures that put helicopters in final approach of aircraft. Sure the helo may need to be over the river or maybe not if it is a training mission. But despite the congestion in the area, for this to happen is crazy whether it was standard procedure or not.

Roger that.

We shall see.

Terrible either way.

The point is that it is two completely separate topics.. 1) DEI 2) Tragedy A good pilot is a good pilot. Some are male. Some are female. A bad pilot is a bad pilot. Some are male. Some are female. Maybe this chick was only flying because of DEI.. but the same is true for the male instructor as well.. but we don't fricking know anything about them.. so why jump to conclusions simply because she is a female pilot? Maybe her DEI hired instructor is the one that sucked. For the record, I am 100% against DEI. The best person for each job is the only person that should get hired.. regardless of age, sex, color of your skin or any other factors. I just don't think the topics shouldn't be combined right now.. what's done is done. These people died and those losses should be mourned right now.. Now imagine she's at the top of her class..

How many more people need to die?

Y’all have all the answers.

Just give us a number. 400-500 more people before we make some serious changes? Or is 1,000 better, gives you more time

are you always an idiot or just today?

My post wasn’t about the future.. you or someone much smarter than me can make the decisions on who should be allowed to fly or not fly.. you want all guys? by all means, go for it if they are the most qualified

My post was about something in the past, which can’t be changed now.. we don’t know who was right and who was wrong and all the speculation just stirs the fricking pot because people can’t differentiate between reality and bullshite.

It’s no different than AI. Now go frick yourself.
