They were employees of USDS, US Digital Service or something like that, who were absorbed by DOGE. These aren’t guys Musk brought on who are resigning in protest. They are, in fact, part of the swamp that DOGE is attempting to eliminate.

DOGE existed before. It was called USDS.
I did not know this, thank you for sharing- it makes more sense now!

Wait, are you telling me grandson of KGB agent Big Balls is unqualified? Surely you jest. It’s not like he was fired as an intern for leaking company info to a competitor. Oh wait…
Proof the 20 people who resigned are qualified.
Here is one talking about the work at USDS.
quote:
I tell you all this not to prove how amazing we were, but exactly the opposite.
Nothing we did was technically difficult by any standard we are used to. There were simple problems with simple solutions. The solution to the lack of monitoring was to install monitoring. The solution to nobody being in charge was to make everybody come to the same room where we could coordinate. And so on.
And here is saying his old company didnt even need him, they had better engineers. So hes admitting the government hires slap dicks and not the best.
quote:
It was not a hard engineering problem, and any of you could have done it, and it was also more important and meaningful than anything I could have accomplished in a lifetime working at my old job.
So I went back to my old job and tried to care about it. I was not successful. On one hand the company does not need me; there are thousands of other engineers that are as good or better.
Leftism is a mental disease.

So, they are admitted oath breakers.

They resigned? So no severance, no unemployment, etc. Do they think they won?

Post your source.
What sort of "critical" info does an 18 year old intern have access to?

Musk team of 10 replacing all those workers, genius.

I didn't know they made you swear to serve the American people and uphold and oath to the Constitution for a job to reset people's passwords.

Is it, though?
I have worked with Government tech people in the space program many years ago. Based on my experience, I doubt the absence of those people will even be noticed.

The problem is that people who quit can get other jobs. Then you're stuck with people who won't quit because no one else will hire them.
You don't want your best people leaving, you want your worst people leaving. That's not happening.

Their job was to help reduce govt waste, fraud, and abuse additionally to help shrink the govt footprint....
Reduced by 21 salaries..... mission accomplished.

I guess those 20 tried really really hard to come up with 5 tasks they did last week and failed.

If you let the workers go and just keep the non-working dead weight, you're not saving anything. You'll end up with a smaller government that can't do the job required of it.
