President Trump is lowering the cost of education for American families, but children in your state will not benefit unless your governor takes action. Thanks to the Working Families Tax Cut Act, parents choosing the private, charter, or public school that best meets the needs of their child will soon have financial help.
If your governor opts in, your family may be eligible to benefit from this transformative program and could use these resources to send your child to a new school, pay for private tutoring, or provide other educational support
Beginning January 1, 2027, Americans can reduce their tax burden by contributing to an approved Scholarship Granting Organization. While anyone in America can take advantage of this tax credit next year, families cannot receive a scholarship if their governor blocks their state’s participation. Your voice is critical to ensure governors know about their responsibility to ensure that every family has affordable access to the best education for their child’s individual needs.

So, do you believe Lindsay Clancy is guilty or not guilty?

Not sure why the downvotes.
This is a great move to allow competition for children’s education.

School vouchers are generally saddled with fraud.

Oh, now the worry is fraud. Can’t have any type of freedom

What makes you think I'm worried? I'm just stating a fact.

This isn’t a federal voucher program. It’s a non refundable federal tax credit for donations to qualifying scholarship granting organizations. Ohio already has this for state taxes.

Everything the government pays for is saddled with fraud . Amazing this is the only fraud democrats care about. I am sure it has nothing to do with them losing control of brain washing the youth and democrat politicians receiving millions of dollars from the public school teachers union . Private schools offer a much better education. If public school put their focus on education they wouldn’t lose so many kids to private schools .

Personally I find the modern left and feminist to adopt pre 1900s era patriarchal male beliefs as quite the hilarious bit of irony.
Pah hah hah hah. But of course, the feminine variety is ruled by their emotions and hormones and cannot be taken seriously nor be held responsible for the whims of their emotional and hormonal swings. They are, after all, just a girl.
Where was her husband? He should have institutionalized this hormonal woman. It is his failure as a husband and a father that is responsible for the horrible acts his hormonal wife committed under duress.

Well we now know who the detractors are saying it benefits most.

Public schools are UNIVERSALLY saddled with triple the fraud and a fraction of the results.

I remember when they did it in Baton Rouge. Suddenly the bigger Catholic schools had grown arse men playing on the 6th, 7th and 8th grade basketball teams. i'm sure the football teams were the same way.
Parents of competitive athletes are more motivated to find the best school for their children than the average.
For every visible athlete you saw, the school had 2 or 3 struggling new kids who were also looking for a better school environment.

I really don't like the idea of government paying for private school. It's only a matter of time before they will take control.
Posted on 10/8/26 at 11:42 am to 4cubbies
How much will it cost the state to opt in? I like the idea but I would like to see the details.

I am more concerned with down the line strings from the government of this becomes part of a private school business model……I can see a world where schools could be coerced by government into teaching (or not teaching) subjects/world/religious view in order to acquire what is bound to become an entitlement.
Though not a voucher, government backed educational entitlements are very much part of the higher education business model and are partly responsible for high educational costs with limited backend earning potential.

IMHO, public schools,in their current form, need to die off. Bureaucratic behemoths that have not truly educated children in more than 20 years.

Milton Friedman argued that "A stable and democratic society is impossible without widespread acceptance of some common set of values and without a minimum degree of literacy and knowledge on the part of most citizens. Education contributes to both. In consequence, the gain from the education of a child accrues no only to the child or to his parents but to other members of society the education of my child contributes to other people’s welfare by promoting a stable and democratic society.”
Do you agree? Do you think this can be achieved without some sort of public option for education - or do you think the public option does not achieve the outcome Friedman is describing?
edit - not trying to interrogate you, I'm just curious what other takes are.
