Peter Strzok, the former FBI agent who vowed to "stop" President Trump from winning the 2016 election despite being part of a federal investigation into his campaign, may not show up to testify next week despite being subpoenaed.

"My client will testify soon, somewhere, sometime. We just got this subpoena today, so I don't know whether or not we are going to be testifying next Tuesday in front of these two particular House subcommittees," Aitan Goelman, Strzok's attorney, told CNN's Chris Cuomo.

Why would Strzok puss out?

It really doesn't matter. Being subpoenaed by congress has shown to really mean nothing. Congress is really weak. Strzok can do WTF he wants and can tell congress to pound sand. The weaklings in congress will do nothing.

I mean, what are the consequences for not going?

These Congressional dog and pony shows are the most feckless grandstanding events in DC. If I was ever subpoenaed, I'd tell them to piss off too.

This needs to change. If I get a subpoena, and don't show up, a bench warrant would be issued. They should be held to the same standard. I know congress is not a court, but the fact remains.

If you can defeat a hearing by saying "I don't recall", then it's pretty much worthless.

Does anyone know if Congress rebuilt its jail?

If you have the Sergeant at Arms arrest someone, you need a place to put them.

Does Congress need a jail?

Using the rationale of the Left, he did nothing wrong so he should not have to fear anything.

Wasn't this guy telling the world he'd answer any and all questions put to him? Now he's talking about ignoring subpoenas?

The only good news with this is it sounds like a grand jury subpoena has him rattled enough to say this.
