King of the Hill did an episode that deals with this. Arlen is being flooded and the town is locked in a gym. Everyone turns to Bill because he's wearing an army uniform and nobody knows him and the idiot that he is. The power goes to his head and he's calling all the shots. Hank finds out that the flood has been over and Bill still has them looked in the gym. He didn't want to let them out because in the gym, he was important and he knew once the flood was over, he had to go back to being regular ole Bill.

Same with Fauci. He kept everything going, scare tactics, etc because as long as it was going on, he was "somebody". Once the pandemic was over, nobody would care about him.

To restate what I’m saying: I think everyone should have the right to privately express and wrestle with their private thoughts and emotions with themselves - i.e. having a diary - without fear that someone will release the entire contents.


Again, I understand certain exceptions in a court proceeding.
