Extremism in the Military

Just got this email today
I am not sure what concrete examples they can provide of extremism in the military other than Muslim extremism (Ft. Hood). I doubt they will direct any attention to left wing extremism, I.E. the riots that occurred all of last year.
quote:
Airmen and Guardians,
We took an oath to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic. The vast majority of us – whether active duty, guard, reserve, or civilian – spends every day upholding our Nation’s laws, policies, and standards. However, there is a small subset who fall short and are eroding the respect our Nation’s citizens have for its military. We have a responsibility to defend the Nation for all Americans.
While the First Amendment of the Constitution recognizes freedom of expression, it is our obligation to stand against extremism, as we should with anything that threatens to undermine good order and discipline, trust, and our culture of respect. As Secretary of Defense Austin said, extremism “has no place in the military of the United States of America.”
The Secretary of Defense directed a stand down to focus on this topic. Commanders and Senior Enlisted Leaders will engage Airmen and Guardians in conversations about the threat extremism poses to the Department of the Air Force, our Nation, and our democracy. Supporting guidance on this stand down and helpful tools will be made available no later than 23 Feb 21. In addition, the Department of the Air Force will conduct a comprehensive assessment of this issue – we encourage your input on the conversations and our assessment.

That won't be touched with a 100' pole. Even a question raising that in the "open for discussion" classes will be met with strong approval.
This is the lefts accelerating push to destroy our military.

If I were in the armed forces, I'd be itching to get out right now.

I am getting out, although I am going to try to get into law enforcement.
The grass isn't much greener in that career for conservatives I'm afraid.

So this is all as the result of the capitol incident, where 20 of the people who at a minimum “breached” the partially secured area were former military? Aren’t there about 2.5 million current and former military in the US?

We're doing ours on April 6.

Can't wait to hear about their stance on BLM and the billions of dollars in property damage caused by their group over the last year, the loss of life and physical attacks perpetuated by them to include targeting first responders, accosting public servants, showing up to members of the media's homes and intimidating/threatening their families with violence as well as murdering police officers.

“I would remind you that extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice! And let me remind you also that moderation in the pursuit of justice is no virtue!”

There are probably 20 million former military in the country, if not more.

Lies.
Eta: and to the extent it's truthful, they encourage people to out themselves so they can be included on The List.
They don't even try to hide the Soviet style purge techniques.

All of it makes me want to vomit, particularly this:
quote:

Any deets on exactly what does this mean? It sounds brownshirt'ish at a minimum.

Cutting of your dick and dressing as a woman isn't extreme?

Is it? Where is that spelled out, exactly? I thought that's why we have a Supreme Court and a Constitution. The military is to protect us from other countries with guns and planes and ships and shite. Their job is to kill people who want to invade us and break the other countries will and war toys. Not determine that Joe Neighbor is a threat to liberty because he thinks the earth is flat.
Maybe I'm wrong. I'm not military.
