You don't really deserve a serious response. Like your arse really has a theory about why we see prolonged dendritic cell dysfunction after COVID infection or why we are seeing an increase in HLA serotype related illnesses.

I personally don't need a theory. Hell, I operate under the assumption that most people studying disease do so with the best of intentions.
Unfortunately, as has been proven beyond any and all reasonable doubt, there ARE people who will lie, omit information that is relevant, pretend to be more certain than they reasonable could be and on and on and on. AND......apparently THOSE people have enough sway to completely overwhelm the general tendency towards benevolence of those in the field overall.
THAT is where we are and it is THEIR fault, not ours.

Well, relying exclusively on inductive reasoning to give yourself a continual out from having to process new information is your fault. You can dress it up how you like, but that is still what it is.

Quite the contrary. I LOVE being fed as much information as possible. And, it really wasn't that long ago when I would have more or less accepted that these agencies were playing straight with me when putting out information.
But, in the last 2 years, I've watched the CDC REPEATEDLY put out information that was intentionally designed to deceive. I don't use the word intentionally lightly. But, when confronted with releases that are either the product of gross statistical incompetence or nefarious reasons, the latter MUST be the conclusion because I know beyond any doubt that there exist people in the CDC that knew better. They just didn't win or, worse, didn't care.
Since I don't have access to hundreds of thousands of dollars(or more) to do my own studies, I'm somewhat reliant upon those that do and when those that do PROVE to me they can't be trusted, what the frick would you have me do?
That is NOT my fault in any sane universe.

To add.
It's like I said in my earlier post.
These morons have fricked us in way more than just COVID.
They have completely gutted their credibility. And, our society is MUCH better off when they are credible. But now we know for a fact that they'll happily lie and deceive when directed to. Worse, they'll happily set out to absolutely ruin people who ARE ALSO EXPERTS if they dare step out of line. We've literally landed in a world where people with ABSOLUTE EXPERT CREDENTIALS are being fricking deplatformed by blue haired gender studies majors at the behest of non-expert government officals.
And I'm sitting here on my sofa thinking, "man, I'm pretty fricking good at statistics. It would be sorta nice if they'd give me good numbers to work with and stopped being full of shite".

First, you are putting a lot of trust in the CDC, which I think is slightly odd.
Secondly, the sequelae and systemic manifestations of COVID to which I am referring are from a variety of studies, none of which has been repeated by the CDC that I’ve seen. If your viewpoint that because the CDC was untrustworthy, and for that reason, you can’t trust the entire apparatus, then yes, that is your fault because you are relying excessively that the CDC lied, and not the actual content of those studies. You are using their ineptitude as a proxy for the entire collection of fields and deciding that you just don’t know who to trust. That’s your choice, not anyone else’s. The aspects that aren’t your fault are the fact that much of the information that I have is not available to you by virtue of the fact that much of that information is paywalled behind databases which sell articles of value for often obscene prices.

I mean, not really. I have basically read every opposing view point, clicked through every nonsensical article, etc., and my conclusion is that many of those people with good credentials, like Malone and McCullough (or whatever his name is), made some incredibly bad arguments on several occasions, with their own intent to mislead. Two that I remember off the top of my head was Malone’s statement on ‘subclinical myocarditis’ and McCullough’s statements on retroposons. They definitely got far more leeway than their actual arguments deserved. Most of the time, they just said shite and people lapped it up, without thought.

Ah yes because you’re much too smart to consider a plebeian like me, guy who makes his medical decisions based on how many TikTok celebrities tell you to get an untested, experimental medical procedure. Go frick yourself you idiot loser

Ah yes, we’re back at the point where no name, unaccomplished career student crazy4lsu is more knowledgeable than world renowned doctors that, after long careers and decades of being recognized as leading experts, are no longer credible because they dare not fall in line with the establishment messaging the unaccomplished career student and several others have been been regurgitating like the good little drones they are.

quote:CDC was my example but is hardly the ONLY example.
First, you are putting a lot of trust in the CDC, which I think is slightly odd.
quote:My view is that the entire apparatus is DEMONSTRABLY untrustworthy per the last 2 years. It may be untrustworthy because it simply lacked the power to overcome the combination of media, govt and others who want to silence anything it didn't like, but, the results are the same. Bluntly speaking, where the frick were the "trustworthy" people the last 2 years and how come they couldn't overcome the untrustworthy in terms of getting information to the public?
If your viewpoint that because the CDC was untrustworthy, and for that reason, you can’t trust the entire apparatus, then yes,
Look, I know I used the CDC example, but don't get stuck in the rabbit hole. The WHOLE frickING APPARATUS failed the last 2 years.
As for what you have access to. Well, unless you're the only guy on the planet with such access, one assumes that there are many others. And, well, that shite didn't help onen fricking bit the last 2 years. Moreover, it is READILY obvious that even WITHIN the apparatus, there are those willing to 1 - hide shite from others in the profession and 2 - threaten people with career suicide if they speak up.
So no. Sorry. It is NOT my fault. You can be mad about it all you want but if you're part of the system, then go look in the mirror because you failed us SPECTACULARLY the last 2 years. To the point that you quite simply, cannot be trusted.

quote:A perfectly valid point but for the FACT that only ONE side was even being allowed to speak. All it takes is a bried look at what happened to those that did speak to be able to easily conclude a lot of people just shut the frick up out of self-preservation

Sorry dude. We now have EXTENSIVE records trails showing what happened in this supposedly "open" scientific community. There's literally no fixing that shite.
You want credibility? Don't do that shite next time....or the next.......or the next.........or the next. And then, maybe 10 years from now, I'll start trusting you bastards again.

Honestly, it's worse than that. These people would have us believe, on something as simple as fricking masks.........that Fauci, with DECADES of knowledge on the subject, somehow found out something "new" between about Feb and March 2020 that caused him to do a COMPLETE reversal on the subject! ROFLMAO. And not just him but basically EVERYONE who ever had an opinion on the subject prior to the year 2020 suddenly figured out they were "wrong" in 2020. ROFLMAO.
Of course, Fauci basically followed the exact same failed bull shite appraoch he used during HIV only this time, the press licked his ball the entire time.

I am over covid. I am not going to wear a mask or get the vaccine. I am not going to live in fear either. The Covidians can go frick themselves.

You are so hurt dude. What booster are you on?
Posted on 1/23/23 at 5:47 am to RaginCajunz
I agree w/ the sentiment.
Jessica Wildfire's substack my not be the best basis for your point though.
A couple of points:
First off, if we had an effective vax, places like Germany would manifest herd immunity. We don't. So folks pushing for more of the same need to hop off that train.
Second, there is growing evidence that increasing the frequency of boosters, as Jessica seems to suggest, decreases immunogenicity and may actually increase susceptibility to CV19.
Finally, she's addressing "long covid" which is new terminology for something we've been aware of since Wuhan. Some folks can become passive carriers. That is not a quality unique to CV19, btw.

But none of those credentials matter if they make bad arguments.
