-A judge ordered him held as a flight risk, and several CIA officials are now on leave as the probe widens
The scheme worked because of the system, not in spite of it.
The secrecy walls built to hide operations from China and Russia hid the fraud from the CIA itself.
A man with a fake résumé ran a fake doomsday program inside the most paranoid institution in America, and for years nobody noticed...

The funniest part of it all to me personally is the guy tried applying with the agency numerous times over a course of years. He kept getting rejected so each time he would just add on more and more fake credentials.

It really makes me think about how much better my own resume could look. Like, I live in an area of fewer than a quarter million people. Who in a place like that is going to check shite when our supposed best and brightest in the imperial capital are this inept?

The CIA should have put out a statement confirming that Aliens are real so this embarrassment went unnoticed. The CIA was once the premier intelligence agency in the world. After a few years of DEI training they are getting scammed worse than the State of Minnesota.
