How the frick do you fake college degrees, fake being a navy pilot and get into the CIA. That's just insane. There is something more going on here and more people are involved.

I don't know. It's a strange story. As I said earlier, the dude spent years trying to get on with them. They kept rejecting him and so he would just keep adding on more fake credentials.

There is way more to this story. How did this guy pass a CI poly much less a Lifestyle poly? Then there is the Background Investigation and SF86 interview. He demonstrates almost every characteristics of an insider threat. A lot people fricked up along the path to hiring him. Almost had to be intentional. WTF, CIA?

There is an oft repeated defense when corruption is found in any of the intelligence agencies. ‘Rogue’ or ‘one rotten apple’. But if there is systemic corruption like what is widely believed, shouldn’t we question just about every narrative that they throw out about anything since we know they have flat out lied so often?

IMO, people believe the narratives that align with their personal interests and decry those that don’t. Their manipulation creates a lot of the division we see politically and influences policy and national security decisions that are sometimes disastrous. Their existence (and desired outcome intel) is the opposite of a liberal democracy.

As terrible as this is, you have to respect the audacity of it.

When does the movie hit the box office?

Can of worms: closed [open]

Also, be careful of the other cans that could be opened. You could potentially be called many names.

Oh, I’ve seen it.

The TV series Snowfall, while fictitious, modeled some its characters after actual known figures also. There was probably more truth than not in the parts about the crack epidemic and the CIA’s involvement.

(BTW, I actually have family & friends in Mena)

The funniest part of it all to me personally is the guy tried applying with the agency numerous times over a course of years. He kept getting rejected so each time he would just add on more and more fake credentials

This I believe is that old art form known as "fake it till you make it"

Whats more embarrassing for the CIA?

This 40 million dollar fiasco?

or

Bombing the shite out of Iran and then when the ceasefire starts, they STILL havent armed anti regime Iranians so they can fight the IRGC.

I mean they literally will arm anyone anywhere in the world except the folks they need to.

Pathetic.
