Guess you missed it... because I'm sure you only watch MSNBC, CNN, CBS etc... but it's just the tip of the iceberg so far and the Trump admin has already uncovered and cut trillions of dollars in government waste and fraud... and one huge U.S. company has already announced half a trillion dollars in investment into the U.S. and hiring 20,000 U.S. workers, all this just one month into a four year term. Cry more though.
Please provide me a link to the specific trillions of dollars in cuts that have already occurred. You said trillions so I am assuming at least 2 trillion.

Trump says grass is green, congressional democrats push bill calling grass "red"

What happens when you don’t pay those taxes?
Any given individual is subject to the legal penalties spelled out in the laws.
I don't know off the top of my head what those are, but I imagine they start with fines and end with prison time.
Pretty much like any other laws that congress makes.

So what you’re saying is….a group of people has decided that i have to work XX amount of time with no pay and if I don’t like it….they’ll throw me in a cage.
Glad we’re on the same page.

The unintended repercussions is you turn into a cheap asshat?
Someone has to be responsible by saving money and paying their tax bill yearly.
Some people have never benefitted from pretty much any government policy because of their dual income status etc. As a matter of fact all thats happened to this particular group is that we have subsidized healthcare for everyone else since 2008.
To people like me you are rewarding people who quite honestly dont deserve any rewarding. This group spends recklessly and I guarantee you has the highest debt to income ratio even considering the poor. While also forgetting the people who pay the majority of the taxes AND are the majority of your individual investors in the stock market.
Oh yea, and if you trade stocks, like I do, I have to pay tax on that as well. Great for me huh? I get no kickbacks, I just get to pay so you can get your OT free.
Its always been about 2 classes, this is just another avenue to it.
Really disappointed with Trump on this.

You sound like you’re thinking logical and not overly emotional whatsoever.

I’ve tried to tell people but those posts just keep getting skipped over. Too many emotional women on the boards today for logical thought.

You seem to be implying that slavery was never legal. Congress acknowledged the legality of slavery at the outset of our nation’s founding with the Three-fifths Compromise

I was eventually going to get to that part.
Just because there is or is not a law…..doesn’t make it right

Other than pandering, why are Republicans supporting this?
Why shouldn't tips or overtime be taxed?

Ok, everything is about money. Everything.
its simply to put more money into irresponsible peoples pockets while punishing the folks that graduated Universities with real degrees and certifications.
This would also offset a lot of cut government jobs, which we are losing economic spending from now.
You cant give me more money because I will invest it, they know that. They know the educated wont go and spend all of the money they get back so they cant give it to them because then it will just make the gap of rich and poor more pronounced.
But because you are doing well you deserve to get taxed more and get back less or nothing at all while we cut tax on the Blue Collar worker, make your own assumptions as to what they did growing up.

The restaurant would have to pay taxes if it was collected as revenue and distributed like paychecks.
Kind of right...if the house keeps say 50% of the tips then that portion is revenue to the business.
The other 50% passed out to the workers will be picked up by the employees and would have FICA taxes assessed.
Depending on the type and size of the restaurant there is a tip credit available to the business.
I don't work with restaurants any longer so I may be not 100% correct but conceptually that is how it works at a 10,000 foot level.

I do this whenever Republicans do this -- what else was attached to this bill ? I am seriously asking because I do not know.
