Good. It's dumb. Income is income. Give tax breaks to everyone.

What? Kentucky Libertarian Jesus didn't vote for it?

No tips and raise the menu items 20%
I've dined in countries where tipping is not the norm. What you get is loooong wait times. You may have to ask for the check more than once. You will wait longer for everything because there is no incentive for wait staff to turn over tables. They get paid the same regardless. So there's no incentive to get your order right, to remember who at your table ordered anything, to ask if you want another drink or even to check on you for anything you might need. Their incentive is to keep you there as long as they can so that there will be less work for them to do.
It's not bad if you plan for a long meal, but if you're fitting a meal into a busy schedule, most nice restaurants are not a good idea, it's more efficient to go to a local food hall or public market.

Yah, then how do we pay for defense, infrastructure, and the other $36 trillion we owe?
Guess you missed it... because I'm sure you only watch MSNBC, CNN, CBS etc... but it's just the tip of the iceberg so far and the Trump admin has already uncovered and cut trillions of dollars in government waste and fraud... and one huge U.S. company has already announced half a trillion dollars in investment into the U.S. and hiring 20,000 U.S. workers, all this just one month into a four year term.
Cry more though.

I thought their leader Kamala said she was in favor of this.

Well then it’s on the manager/owner to get rid of the person after people get dissatisfied and stop coming. You know, just like every job, where if you underperform and hurt bottom lines you tend not to stay there long. Not sure why people think the same wouldn’t apply in this case, and trying to draw conclusions based off of Europe, when the mentality compared to the American consumer is very different.

There is no “WE”. The Top 50% of Tax Payers can say WE, but the lower 50% should just be saying “Thank You”.

If they pass this in the future Ill never tip again until I am not paying federal income tax.
There will be unintended repercussions if this passes.

It’s the only thing that could be relevant to your crying.
Salary workers typically don’t get paid overtime. So this doesn’t “penalize” salary workers unless they’re eligible for overtime. Are you saying that this bill has an exemption to where those eligible salary workers will still be taxed on their overtime pay?
I’m genuinely asking. If you know the part of the bill that includes this…..please post it.

Who is exempt? Basically non-citizen workers.
Do you know what FICA is?

I agree with your statement except for the word “steal”. This was done by the duly elected representatives of the people. That’s not stealing; it just isn’t.
Passing laws to take other people’s property away isn’t theft in the same way that passing laws to enslave people isn’t slavery, right?

tips aren't paid by the business you work for.
But they usually are.
The tips go into a pool and are distributed to employees by the business. Just like normal revenues and paychecks.
Using your logic, any tips paid to a waiter in a restaurant in which tips are pooled (which is most of them by my understanding) shouldn't be counted as a tip.

Where exactly in the constitution does it give Congress the legal ability/authority to enslave?
I can show you where it gives in the legal power/authority to tax.
Don't like the laws they came up with, vote them out. Don't like that Congress has the legal authority to tax, get an amendment passed.
That's how the system works.

No. The restaurant would have to pay taxes if it was collected as revenue and distributed like paychecks.

I always give people too much credit here.
I wasn't saying that the tips would be counted as revenue by the IRS, I was saying that the distinction he made about how the money is distributed isn't true.
