It’s the only thing that could be relevant to your crying. Salary workers typically don’t get paid overtime. So this doesn’t “penalize” salary workers unless they’re eligible for overtime. Are you saying that this bill has an exemption to where those eligible salary workers will still be taxed on their overtime pay? I’m genuinely asking. If you know the part of the bill that includes this…..please post it.
The bill will come due one day. Those that will pay it will disproportionately come from the pool that isn't getting this little ETR nugget not to mention other prior nuggets they didn't qualify for. If you don't see that as punitive then maybe setting winners and losers with tax policy is just your thing.

Usually I would ask what other shite is in the bill but I just read the bill and there is nothing other than what Trump said it would be.
It takes a minute to read. It is about as simple as it gets.
Absolutely no reason to vote against it other than they are being petulant bitches that don't want Trump to get a win

Damn
Board is alarmingly susceptible to propaganda when it suits them and in complete denial when it doesn’t

Except that spending goes up over the next 10 years, and the debt balloons to 55 trillion?

That’s a whole lot to say without ever actually saying anything at all.

What does this have to do with anything?
If your parents have done well and happen to be financially sound why should the kids pay tax?
Also, if you are good with your money and have been pumping the max into a roth for 40 years and never intend on pulling out all that money is tax free anyways by nature of the account. Just let it run and compound the interest until death.
Tie everything else into stocks then the stocks get transferred and cant be taxed until they are sold but are taxed at the cost basis when the children receive the stocks not when the parents bought them.
So by planning someone should be taxed? Taking the time to figure this all out should be taxed just because right? Should they also be taxed for paying off their house early and not having any debt while also having pension in excess of 6 figures?
Why would you punish these people? They have built something, their American dream, and someone wants to tax it all.
Quite the lazy folks we have in this country.

Interesting. Were those the only two items in the resolution?
Of course not. It was yet another bill packed full of shite. We can't have single issue bills.

Inheritance and gifts should not be taxed. Those are not earned income to the recipient.

when Medicaid gets cut, you can go ahead and pick up insurance premiums for a few of your local illegals.
Posted on 2/26/25 at 12:11 pm to Boss
That is the budget. Not the bill.
But congrats. You can automatically point to that portion of the budget report to object to every single conceivable tax cut and every conceivable increase in spending in any proposed bill.
Is that your position? 100% now new tax cuts, no new spending at all? Why not? Well look at the budget.

Those are limits, not what it is going to be.
That would avoid the Kabuki every few months of the democrats wailing about government shutdowns.

And Congress is historically known for underspending. You're right, that isn't what it is going to be, it'll end up being more somehow. This is not an issue that can just be magically fixed like some of you believe.

Ah. So you ARE ok with some forms of income to not be taxed. Thanks.
You’re really close to figuring this whole thing out.

Obviously you don’t understand earned from unearned.
Probably an hourly wage worker.
