re: Where to sell appliances in BR?
Posted by Dolphinepride on 6/12/25 at 9:08 am
Very little value. A person buying used appliances does not care how "nice" something is (to an extent),
If i got to buy a used microwave I'm looking for what's cheap and works.

Not gonna lie I enjoy the process. Sometimes I don't want to rush getting done and instead take my time working alone on things. I do think ceramic coating is the way to go though.

Its usually very easy or a PITA to fix A/C stuff. You can rent most of the tools from AutoZone etc etc for free

you are at the very edge of a deep rabbit hole. Not all soaps are the same and not all products are the same. Best thing you can do is stay away from car washes with the brushes since they can scratch the paint. You can go crazy with ceramic coat or with a nice wax every few months. I prefer waxing myself but if you are busy ceramic last longer.

This only works with a laptop and software associated with it. You can do some really cool stuff with it if the car computer is cracked but for a beginner maybe something else.

nitromethane he tried to buy can be used for RC cars boats, planes and drag racing. 2 gallons of fuel for a hobby race car isn't that crazy

Chef I worked for was old school so maybe it was that? We even had an 86 board that was updated.

Never heard it described like that. We used it to mean the kitchen was out of an item.

Then don't get a lawyer and see how far ya get. Most people don't need a lawyers to see a chiropractor for 2 months and send the adjuster the medical records.

got to go to basics air, fuel, spark and compression.
One of those is missing. test easy stuff first remove spark plug and ground on bare metal can you see or feel spark?
Squirt some carb cleaner into engine, will it start?
when you pull the recoil and put your thumb over spark plug hole with spark plug removed can you feel compression.

give a model number might be able to look some stuff up. Those are a pretty penny though right? Maybe worth having a tech look it over?

re: How to find a used vehicle these days
Posted by Dolphinepride on 4/22/25 at 10:30 am
Used car lots just buy trade in from the dealership or auctions. I bought my first car off craigslist and my second car from Facebook. Both can work ok but my advice is to look for a specific model (Honda, Accord, 2012.) and try to look everyday for just that car on FB or CL
It took my a couple weeks to find a good one but look everyday and you can get an idea for market price. A really good deal will sell in a day or two. You should bring a mechanic or friend who knows cars if you don't, lots of junk out there too.
