Ever meet and have a real conversation with Ken Paxton, I have...

Granted, I met Paxton at a professional meeting that he was the keynote speaker for. After he spoke, I spoke to him for several minutes and was impressed by his candor and his taking the time to speak to me as his staff was attempting to move him on to his next scheduled event. He didn't rush when I asked him serious questoins. He gave thoughtful, not canned answers and I appreciated his honesty.
Paxton may have personal flaws but I think he would do what is best for the people of Texas, not the people who wish to change America into a socialist wasteland.
If Texas wants a dressed up monkey to look at, while ignoring the organ grinder, vote for Talarico. He's a deeply confused gay man who espouses heretical positions to Christianity. I'd never vote for someone like that because his core values are flawed.
Thank God Louisiana's culture will never be so diluted that someone like Talarico could be elected, at least in the next 50 years.

There's no point. Nobody ever changes their minds on the Internet, and if you don't have this figured out well in advance of election day, there's no hope for them anyway.

Sadly you are correct. I need to remind myself of this more often.

You are naive. I was too. If someone told me that a guy like Talarico would even have the slightest chance to become a senator from Texas even 10-15 years ago I would have laughed in your face. Things change very quickly.
Louisiana just had a two term dem governor and may just end up with a dem senator due to this ‘take it for granted’ mentality. It can and probably will happen here too. The Republican Party and it’s entire operation is an absolute joke. It’s a damned shame, and it seems intentional.

I've said before, you'd like most of these people if you met them in person, democrats included. Being likeable is what they do for a living.
Don't vote for a personality. Vote for what you think their policies will likely be. Fortunately, Talarico being such a freak makes this easier. Paxton still sucks, though.

Ken Paxton has done many good things that benefited Texas. Too many to list here. But for me his greatest accomplishment?
He broke up the Drunk Dade Phelan - Bush Clan - Mafia Democrat - RINO coalition in the Texas House. Our RINO pal Drunk Dade Phelan was restricting meaningful Republican legislation from being considered on the floor of the House. In exchange for this his Mafia Democrats pals keep voting for him as Speaker-of-the-House. Plus, Phelan conducted the business of the State of Texas while obviously highly intoxicated. He embarassed himself and the citizens of Texas.
How corrupt are the democrats? Rather than stay in session to do the State's business, they simply left the state while the House was in session. Denying the existence of a quorum. Petty bunch.
But my understand the Republicans cut off their salary during the time they abandoned their "official" capacity as public servants. That way they weren't stealing from the taxpayers - something the democrats are very good at - stealing from the taxpayers.

I’ve met many politicians I didn’t like upon meeting.

Understatement of the century. And if someone being a Christian matters to you, how can you support Paxton?

Careful. The "Paxton is the worst candidate ever" will be waking up soon. Wouldn't want to temper their temper.
PS - Got anything positive on Vivek as well? That will make you a supervillain to them.

Pretty sure this is what Elon and the other techs want and why they are supporting Paxton. Dance monkey and clear the way for my data centers.
I'm not saying to vote for the other guy, but let's be clear. Paxton is not some ethical hero. He clearly takes special interest money for favors.

Nice sentiment but Trump’s ego looks like it may cost the GOP a Senate seat in a Red State. But I’m glad a bad candidate came off nice in your limited meeting.
I’m sure Hilary comes off nice when campaigning despite the fact that pretty much everyone who has ever worked around her says she’s one of the worst human being to exist.

Ken and I ran an overlapping circles when he was doing investments he is a pretty sharp dude and I think he’ll do a great job. Most and by most I mean like 99.9% of his unpopularity is drummed up by the Bush people in Texas.
Only the Bushes don’t realize their time is over.

They are now the Texas swing vote. They will vote for the democrats this time and GOP will lose. Then next election both parties will negotiate to earn their vote. They might not set the GOP agenda anymore - but they still have lots of power.

I don’t think there’s enough of them left. If there were Paxton would not have won his last election.

Damn, you should’ve helped him during the campaign. It would’ve made a difference after reading this.

Louisiana elected John Bel Edwards to two terms. He's not that far off from Talifreako, with the exception of abortion and his Catholic faith.

Kindly tell that to all the people pushing talarico here.
