Can anyone on the left explain why him speaking to Putin is a bad thing?
Hitler was interviewed prior to WW2.
Stalin and others were interviewed during the Cold War.
Those two have more bodies on their hands than any dictator running around in our era.
Why was it ok then and not now?

Well if you want to travel freely around the EU countries you may have to act in a certain way. If you don't, you can't play with them. It is not the US and they don't have the same rights and laws. When being historically ignorant goes wrong.
Osama was interviewed in Afghanistan by John Miller in 1998, after Osama had issued a fatwa on American citizens.
Journalists used to capture both sides. Now they feel it’s their duty to only present the side they feel is right and protect us from the side they feel is bad. They would rather control the narrative instead of letting people hear both sides and decide.
