I was replying to this comment

forced closures of businesses

Now you're changing your argument to regs over public employees. How is that criminal ?

Note: I didn't support them, but I also don't think they are criminal acts

What laws did he break?

"Conspiracy Against Rights" is **18 U.S. Code § 241**. This statute makes it illegal for two or more people to conspire to injure, oppress, threaten, or intimidate any person in the free exercise or enjoyment of any rights or privileges secured by the U.S. Constitution or federal laws.

That dog won't hunt.

Ironing it's the LEO and Police State loving traditional Republicans who made the standard for prosecutorial misconduct so high. Not that I can see anything we know publicly that would indicate Smith did anything that would count

What, specifically , did he do that was illegal?

No you missed the point of that statement. I’m saying the whole eye for an eye proverb is bullshite to begin with. It leaves one dude with one eyeball. Trump is that dude. And I’m frickin here for it! Lol

Anyone who broke the law should face justice, but I don’t like the idea of Trump engaging in lawfare for revenge.

I’d rather him just get stuff done and hopefully leave popular with a good legacy. That’ll piss the left off more than anything.

Honestly… just pardon Hunter and extend the olive branch and move forward with purging everything else in DOJ, intel, and military brass.
We gotta focus on the mission. 4 years is going to go fast

Some people were sent to prison for ignoring a government subpoena while others were excused. Some people were taken to court for having classified documents while others were excused. Some people were allowed to inflame crowds at the Jan. 6 rally with no ramifications while others were jailed. If you are fine with a two tiered justice system than I can’t help you.

When you’re serious about people getting retribution.. you don’t call it retribution. You come out and say no political retribution will be had, but we have people to investigate for crimes and if they’re guilty, then they pay for it with time. A lot of the stuff they did was highly illegal. You don’t need a revenge tour to nab them. Just enforce the law.

I don't care about revenge, or comeuppance, or retribution.

I care about a deterrent. I care about a show of force.

I care about making the Democrats afraid to EVER DARE to do this crap again.

It's not about "pissing off the left."

Good grief.

Why don't people understand that?

This is not about trolling. It's about saving the republic.

Every single person in Trump's orbit knew they would be under federal indictment if Trump lost this election. Everyone. Some would have gone to prison for years. Elon would have lost everything. There is absolutely no way in Hell that they leave this apparatus in anything but tatters. They will blow it into a billion pieces. Everyone that broke a law in this lawfare campaign will be charged to the full extent of the law.

Wouldn’t want to piss off the left.
They might seek pointless impeachments, jail people for frivolous offenses, use state officials to file unmerited lawsuits, use the IRS as a tool of intimidation, they might bust down the door of citizens with swat teams in the early morning hours for small suspected crimes, they could have people arrested for making comedic memes, or they could de-platform websites for having opposing political views.
Wait, they already did all these things and more.

If sarcasm is ever specifically prohibited by the US Constitution, I'm as good as dead. As it stands, at least at this juncture in time, it is still permissible.

Tell that to Navy Joan. There comes a point when you cease to be victim and become victimizer. That age is well before 50. frick Hunter, send his arse to prison.
