Basically a law passed in California that bans disclosure to parents of any gender issues.

not that he shouldn't move, he should, but Starbase is literally on the beach in Brownsville - isn't that pretty exposed for a place to build/assemble flight vehicles?

Elon is out of control. Making decisions based on emotion is not a good business move.

Idk I looked at some overhead photos once and it seems like it’s out in nowhere land with a lot of land around it.

based on emotion
It seems like a decision based more on principle than emotion, no?

Yes, you need to email Elon your business tips ASAP.

The level of state gov't intrusion into personal lives is astounding in Cal.

The cost of doing business in California and Texas can vary depending on a number of factors, including taxes, employment, and property:

Property tax: California's average effective property tax rate is 0.72%, while Texas's is 1.9%
Sales tax: California's combined state and local sales taxes range from 7.25% to 10.75%, while Texas's range is from 6.25% to 8.25%
Employment
California has higher unemployment and employment taxes than Texas:
Unemployment tax: California's minimum unemployment tax rate is 1.5%, while Texas's is 0.45%
Employment training tax: California has an employment training tax rate of 0.1%, while Texas has no employment training tax
State disability insurance tax: California has a state disability insurance tax rate of 0.9%, while Texas has no state disability insurance tax
Franchise tax
California has a minimum franchise tax of $800 per year, which can increase depending on annual revenue

Also, the Port of Brownsville is the largest single port in the US in terms of facilities served by oceangoing vessels. Can get up to an Aframax sized tanker down the entire length of the ship channel, which is like 17 miles long.

Not the point. It’s called Starbase. How could you not move there?

Clearly you didn't read the part where he said he's been considering this for some time.
Also, aside from the hot weather, there's not much of a downside for being based in Texas.
