If you read my post you would see that I am asking about Elon, not Tesla.

I do not see anything about Musk's 2024 taxes.

I do not see anything to support the claim that Elon paid $500 million in taxes last year. He is worth $473 billion now so it would not be surprising but I have not see any public disclosures like that.

I bet he pays the taxes required by law like the rest of us common folk.
What's your issue?

Elon has proven he has a mission to advance humanity. Therefore a trillion dollars in his hands is better than being in anyone or any other countries hands. I trust him with a trillion before I trust it in the hands of the US government, Donald Trump, Jeff Bezos, etc.

I don't care if he pays literally any taxes. He's going to put humanity in space and on other planets. He's going to build a sustainable world that takes the next futuristic steps.

Bottom line is that he spends his money on worthwhile shite. If it were in T. Boone Pickens hands or some oil magnate or whatever, they'd do nothing with it. Elon is manufacturing the future as he's proven time and time again.

Trump has been his patron in many ways, just like other Tech Bros. Our alleged capitalist economy is rigged.

You do understand, you pay taxes on your income and not your worth. Being worth $473 billion is irrelevant to the conversation of taxation.

He should be paying taxes on a personal level only on the following if applicable
-Wages and salaries
-Self-employment income
-Tips and bonuses-
-Unemployment compensation
-Rental income
-Interest and dividends
-Capital gains (from selling stocks, property, etc.)
-Retirement income (Social Security, pensions, IRA/401(k) withdrawals)
-Alimony received (for divorces finalized before 2019)

Imo none of this "Trillion Dollar payday!!" for Transhumanist dark-lord Elon is remotely believable -- despite his supposed companies coincidentally the recipient of untold billions of dollars in contracts from Uncle Sam. Nice gig if you can get it.

This revelation is more mockery of the Middle Class by the Controllers (as tens of millions struggle to make ends meet while seeing their "American Dream" aspirations dashed by the Elites.)

He does. He also creates a ton of new jobs.

The Top 1% folks pay 40% of income taxes

The Top 5% folks pay 61% of income taxes

The Bottom 50% of taxpayers paying income taxes pay 3% of all income taxes.

That bottom 50% would be clowns like you who claim you are somehow poor because Elon is rich.

No, I understand perfectly. I am just asking for some data that supports the claim that Musk paid $500 million in taxes last year.

I think there was a story out a year or so ago that Elon wrote the largest check every given to the IRS.

11 BILLION dollars in a single year. He pays plenty.

Did that shite bag law firm who sued tesla and musk ever get paid? Last I heard, they found a kangaroo court in Delaware to file and. Either got a verdict, or was close to one?

They had no case, and it should of been thrown out and they have their licenses pulled for life.

If he did, he wouldn't be paying very much. The "rich" pay almost all of the taxes. "Common folk" pay almost nothing. You sure you want that?

Concern for what someone wealthier pays in taxes, when they already pay hundreds or thousands of times more than you, is not compassion. It’s entitlement. You’re demanding that someone else be forced to work for your benefit. That’s not “fair share.” That’s treating the taxpayer as your property. It’s the moral code of a slaveholder disguised as social concern.
