What makes someone (or everyone in this case) a "high earner" in this future where money isn't actually earned and isn't backed by any sort of exchange of labor or service?
Doesn't that more or less turn money into the booklet of stamps that the old communist countries handed out to their citizens for a loaf of bread, a wheel of cheese, etc?

I disagree with Elon on this one because it is counter to human nature and how our economy is structured.
If you were one of the people who built, invested in, and owned this tech, you would not be eager to just give away all of the unimaginable wealth generated.
They will create products that generate profit, and people will buy those products. That's how capitalism works.
They will not simply create Utopia for free for the same reason that Chevron doesn't give away barrels of oil.
