Ballot Measure 2, which will appear on the November ballot, seeks to repeal Alaska’s ranked choice voting method, along with open primaries and campaign finance laws that were themselves adopted by ballot measure in 2020.
Musk gave $1.5 million last month to the Aurora Action Network, a Wisconsin-based political action committee that has already collected contributions from numerous billionaire megadonors, including Dick Uihlein, Jeff Yass, Timothy Mellon and Hilcorp owner Jeffery Hildebrand. Aurora Action Network then gave the repeal campaign $1 million in late July.
Musk’s contribution, which make up a sizable share of the repeal campaign’s fundraising, could prove pivotal for the future of Alaska’s elections.

If MAGA want to end rank choice voting system then they need to put the rhinos last . Stop giving Murkowski the higher choice over the democrat. They would have a better chance of overturning Rank Vhoise voting if they sent a message in the election before it .

I hope it goes well for them. And the other states fighting to repeal or block RCV from their borders.
RCV is a blight on the voting system.

RCV varies from state to state. But one of the common factors is that in RCV you have to put a vote in for every candidate in the list. Rating them from highest to lowest of which ones you want.
And many voters don't realize that if they don't do that, and only vote for the candidate they want then their vote doesn't count!
It's a system that is intended to convolute, skew, and confuse the voting process.

Our Constitution provides each individual to a single vote.
Ranked choice allows each voter to vote for multiple candidates… so that if your first choice gets knocked out, your 2nd or 3rd choice may end up being counted.
Seems ripe for manipulation.

Then is it a fair argument to say the concept itself is not as inherently flawed as the way it’s often implemented?
When there are 10 candidates, I see the problem with ranking every one. What if you just do your top two, though, and if only one is listed then that’s just one first place vote?

Implementation can indeed leave a lot to be desired, considering that candidates may have to through secondary, third, etc rounds, depending on how the counts go. Which is why it's important to vote for your lesser candidates, in case your primary candidates get eliminated.

It's complicated and hard for my ADHD to keep hold of.
But keep in mind that differing states and jurisdictions have their own spins, and rules, and processes.
