Don’t bother with him. He’s still bitter from the thrashing he took on here almost a decade ago. It’s sad.

Wow! Cubbies raised a relevant point.

It’s actually not a relevant point. Defamation / slander / libel are not limited causes of action to public figures. She tried though.

Not in the same way that it applies to individuals. You believe it does?
Edit:
I also specifically referenced our natural rights.

Higher threshold by proving actual malice
I’d imagine Jamal’s deposition will be interesting on that point

All this hateful rhetoric is the same as what led to the 2 assassination attempts on Trump.
Elon needs to go after all the media and politicians the same.

Those rights aren't granted to anyone by the First Amendment.

Democrats are good at projection.

It's a restriction on the government. Freedom of speech exists independent of the Bill of Rights.

If someone thinks you are racist, you winning a lawsuit isn’t going to get them to change their minds.
You are missing the entire point.
Today someone can call you a racist and then work to having your job taken from you. That is what I was up against. My livelihood and integrity at the time was up in the air. All because I did something a black person before me failed to do. I did nothing wrong yet I was put through hell, and had to waste a few thousand getting a lawyer in case it escalated.
In the case of the OP, you have people falsely accusing someone of something similar, then leveraging this to attack not only this guy's businesses across the country, but now his customers as well. The effects are far reaching compared to just one person at a random job.
The fact that people can't see this is what scares me as a rational person.

have no idea what the situation you are referencing is about and I’ve never thought you were racist
Also my point. No, I'm not and never was "racist", but that didn't matter. The accusation is all it took to turn my life upside down for a year. If I had the financil means to really fight, I would have, but I didn't. I enjoy seeing those that have the means fight back. Until it happens to you or someone you care about, I fully expect you to applaud it because it happened to someone you hate.
