I'm calling back to this.

i certainly understand that what you went through is wrong but in the context of the workplace, it isn't a few speech issue IMO. To be honest, I have no answer for what happened to you.

ETA: As much shite as I give Hank and SFP, I'd actually welcome their input here

It's a long game move against CNN.

Imagine being so dumb that buzzwords like “Nazi” has to be thrown out constantly to sufficiently make your programming outrage you.

You sit and drool until “Nazi” is thrown out and then you folks rage. They so easily install a trigger for you to be thought slaves to them. That has to be a pitiful life… being instructed on what to think, what to do, what to say, how to feel. Someone literally has control over your life, from thousands of miles away, because they throw out buzzwords.

And they have to use “Nazi” because you idiots would sit and stare at each other if they used some other historical dictator.

that's the point IMO. There are legal definitions for defamation. Do these infringe on the 1st?

I don’t think so.

That isn't an assertion I made. Of course it applies, but I don't think it should apply the same to both. "The press" isn't an individual, and shouldn’t be given inherent natural rights the same as an individual.

Oh I get all that. I'm also not looking for answers or sympathy. I paid a lot of money for answers years ago. I got through it fine and left. I got a bigger, better job in a completely different field and never looked back.

I'm simply pointing out to those who think this is awesome to be able to just randomly call someone a "nazi" over and over until other things escalate around that person, in this case burning his businesses and attacking his customers, is NOT OK.

I don't expect Elon to "win" anything as much as I "hope" that people who level accusations like that have to at least prove it in public first.

I don’t think so.
then suing is perfectly valid. You might not win but it can't be based on the 1st

Imagine having no money and no power like you and getting this butthurt over what Elon Musk does.

People are damaging and destroying innocent people's Tesla cars, they are attacking and shooting at Tesla dealerships, etc., because the retard media and politicians are claiming that Musk is Hitler/evil because he supports Trump/is getting rid of waste and fraud (their gravy train) in a way that they disagree with. The shite needs to stop.

I'm not trying to be difficult but I just don't see the distinction especially given the language used

No, I’m not. I answered his question.

If your “point” earlier was that the burden is tougher for Elon, that’s true. I’d also imagine that Bowman’s defense lawyers will have a harder time with “thief” than “nazi” when it comes to defending the case. If Elon advances to discovery, either Jamal admits he was full of shite or he gets embarrassed.

Valid? Anyone can sue for anything of course but I think suing in this situation is frivolous and petty.

I’d imagine your social worker clients do not think of civil lawsuits as frivolous

I'm just saying that if you think defamation laws are fine with respect to the 1st then suing is fine as well. In general not related to this particular case.
