Runoff in TX, which is how it should be. I think the original proposed closed primary bill in Louisiana Legislature was worded where a candidate would win with just a plurality. That’s stupid, and thankfully got changed to needing a majority before it passed both chambers.
I know LA gets a ton of shite nationally for our politics but in my opinion the Jungle primary is where we get it right. Two elections for Congressional elections vs 3. Plus it ensures majority vote to claim victory.
We tried the primary system in early from in early 2000's and quickly moved away from it because it costs too much and created voter fatigue which resulted in low voter turnout.

The EBR Council on Aging is probably the only organization of its kind where employees convince the senior citizens to make out new wills to leave all of their stuff to them. Why anyone would vote to continue that program is beyond me.

Results starting to roll in
Letlow 51-49 with 20 parishes reporting absentee ballots & 1 sole precinct reporting
Davis leads Crockett 80-20 on the D side
ETA: already 5K more total R votes than D votes in the Senate primaries

Fleming won the early vote in EBR. That is surprising.
