Louisiana Secretary of State - Live Results Page

Just make this a results thread when the polls close tonight.

-----------------------------------------

As if all the political texts I've gotten would allow me to forget... but it's election day in Louisiana

Letlow vs. Fleming for the US Senate GOP nomination

Democrats you have a party primary too... Jamie Davis will win to set up his 60-40 loss in November

I live in EBR so I have 3 tax renewals on the ballot... 1 for the library, 1 for BREC, & 1 for the Council on Aging

I voted yes on the library, which I was iffy about, but voted no on BREC and COA.

The COA’s upper leadership should all be fricking perp walked.

After this it’s still not over. Another election in November for today’s winners. Louisiana just loves elections and voters are getting burned out.

November won't be bad because today is the real election day. Dem primary winner stands no chance in 4 months.

The problem now though is we're about to shoehorn the House of Representatives party primaries with the new congressional maps in so the general election for those can be on the November ballot too

Letlow will be worse than Cassidy once Trump and Landry are gone.

I don’t. I voted for John Fleming. Just curious why you decided to vote for a candidate who pushed DEI policies. I think DEI is unconstitutional and racist and I think it puts incompetent people into positions and jobs they are not capable of performing.

You support his propaganda. He is the one the started this nonsensical talking point. When applying for President of ULM, Letlow supported recruiting efforts to increase female and minority leadership roles but it was not a policy of lowering standards to achieve that end. Think of it what you will but that is not political DEI

On the other hand, Cassidy was actually voting in support of political DEI initiatives (actually lowering standards).

Fleming was a completely ineffective member of the House. Espousing talking points to the masses is great and all but when you’re entire tenure results in only one piece of minor legislation, you are nothing more than a political blowhard with no ability to effect change.

It’s not a “nonsensical talking point.” It’s a fact. Julia Letlow is on video pushing for DEI at her college. You apparently support this since you proudly voted for her.

Letlow had some serious issues before all that stuff started circulating. I wouldn't vote for her long before the runoff campaign took shape.

#1 being she's trying to go from nobody to US Senator in a few years by riding the coattails of her dead husband (which she's about to remarry so frick that guy I guess).

Letlow is basically going to be Landry’s proxy in DC. She’ll be the Senator for lobbyists and insiders.

What in the frick is this shite?

Why not just call it "please vote for us to steal your money and disperse it as we please?" And if this is a renewal how in the hell did you Cajuns allow that to pass the first time?

So for the record, you think recruiting efforts is the same thing as systemically lowering standards for women and minorities (that Cassidy supported).

I also noticed you were silent on Fleming being a completely worthless member of the House..

I think people should be hired on merit not based on their race or sex. Recruiting based on race and sex is illegal and discriminatory. It’s exactly what DEI seeks to do.

Fleming was an effective representative for Northwest Louisiana. He fought hard for Barksdale Air Force Base and Fort Polk. Those bases support the entire region and also ensure America’s military supremacy across the globe. Fleming secured Global Strike Command to Barksdale during his tenure.

You are grossly misinformed and sound like a RINO.
