Either bomb them back to the stone age or get out

We fricked up the strategic advantage when we had them on the ropes at the start of this now it's we do have a deal no we dont have a deal all the while they are getting resupplied by the Russians and Chinese.
This will be the biggest misstep Trump has done and it was totally unforced.

Shut up with your TDS and go pay your penance at the gas station!

If we agree to this “deal” then this may go down as one of the greatest foreign policy miscalculations in history. Truly snatching defeat from the jaws of victory type stuff.

It wouldn't take much to put them back on the ropes. The only way we come out of this clean is to kill all leadership and military. Let the people take over. Keep the soh open and wash our hands of the rest.

Aren’t you one of the morons who was calling everyone who disagreed with Trump on another middle eastern offensive a liberal? He won the negotiation, got what he wanted, and was right to pull out, you pussy blue haired Democrat crybaby. Go vote for Meghan McCain next time if you want more slush fund forever wars

The goal was never to win, because winning looks like genocide and too many people are uncomfortable with that.
Instead, we are in the midst of our own genocide and everyone is slowly walking into it because, "muh GDP."

We can bomb them all we want, their leadership still won’t quit. They don’t care how many of their people die. We can either go with this agreement, go in with ground forces and lose a few thousand people, or nuke them. I think we have to go with the first option.

Third option is starting to look nice.

Never once in human history has an air campaign succeeded at instituting a regime change. Stop buying the hype on this strategy, it’s a non starter.
If the goal is regime change, boots on the ground is the only way to accomplish that. And most Americans appear unwilling to pay that price.

If they don’t care how many of them die, why should we?

Our people’s highest hopes were that air campaign etc would eventually translate into mutiny amongst the citizenry, then boil over into a revolution and regime change scenario. That was the ultimate regime change strategy. Not a missile or bomb that’s specifically called the “Regime Change Bomb.”

Hot take: We stopped because we got too low on munitions.

We stopped because ground invasion was never on the menu. The strategy was, "Shock and Awe" all over again.
Some people never learn. You either go in with the intention to crush your enemy until there is nothing left or you waste a lot of resources with the hope of re-calibrating some trade deals with the people standing on the sidelines.
This is all about demonstrating how cool our weapons are (for future buyers) and making money off of trade deals.
Busting up BRICS is a key component of this whole operation.

How is it that you know what this “deal” is and I don’t?

Most takes are wrong - this is simply about certain people making money and that objective was accomplished.

Yea… and never once in human history has that worked. If our people sincerely believed that, it does not reflect well on their decision making.

Well first of all you don’t even know enough actual details to be able to come to a conclusion on that, because I didn’t add any. Mine was a very vague, general reference to the concept.
Secondly, you certainly have no idea how many times, or where something of that general description took place, or which of them were successful and which not.
So basically you made of a bunch of stuff. And I don’t know why it was so necessary to respond in the first place, without the aforementioned knowledge.
