Drone tech is getting more terrifying

I hope this is AI and not real.
Even if one were carrying a shotgun, this thing is so small and fast it would be nearly impossible to hit.

This is actually a fairly old video in terms of tech. I think it's at least 2 years old.

slaughterbots is a super old video warning about the future... Like 1000 AI scientists world wide signed onto a petition to ban this tech.
Obviously no one heeded the warning because we're living it now. Humans wont be in the loop within the next 5 years.

kind of reminds you of the "seeking" bullet from the Tom Selleck movie Runaway for the '80s. once the gun targeted the intended victim the "bullet" would seek the target until it made the hit

This is why I can’t understand why we could not secure the Strait of Hormuz. With this tech, equipped with cameras and explosives, how were we not able to find and kill all of the drone operators and boat operators?
I’m deeply suspicious. Or is our government and military so incompetent that they just didn’t think to deploy this?

Most drone technology is close in defense. It isn't built to say blanket coverage if large areas like the SOH or multiple pipelines miles long.
Additionally drone defense worldwide is lagging offensive weapons currently.
