Brees is a sack of shite now. He's just like the assholes who attacked him for no other reason than to virtue signal.

He'll never be embraced by the looney leftists....yet he just keeps on trying, by being even more spineless from one day to the next

This is how he'll win over his team.

Collect a white head himself.

Where are the people in the NFL with these so called principles? Perhaps there aren’t any...

I never said there were. All the more reason why he wouldn’t care what they thought, if he had any principles himself.

Sorry I just cannot agree with you here. Anyone can lose all credibility with one thoughtless or careless action. His action to reverse his noble stance has cost him his credibility. He may one day gain his credibility back, however it will be a long uphill battle for him. I hope he can rectify his careless actions in which he alienated a huge majority of his fanbase.

Then some of you are no better than those who bullied him the last two days. I find it hard to believe a lot of you are actually able to dismiss all the incredible things Drew has accomplished on and off the field over him changing his stance? Yes it’s disappointing to me allso but it does not outweigh all the good he has done. I hope some of you will change your mind.

I didn't read the letter but is this like a hostage admitting all sorts of wrongs just so he has a chance to live?

It is about the flag & the anthem when it's been disrespected. That was Never the right platform for that agenda. At this point, frick Drew and he should just retire. Nothing he said that I heard he should've apologized for. You apologize for being wrong not for having a different view or because your view is different from the mob.
You know what frick the NFL I really give 2 shits if they play this year. Watch college if you have to watch football.

Good analogy. Except Brees isn't fighting for his life. He wants a future job in broadcasting.
Once there, no doubt he will gladly continue to read the scrips handed to him.

Man. Everyone needs to leave Drew the F alone. None of us have had decisions to make over 8/9 digit dollar amounts. When any of you want to throw that away let me know.

I was extremely disappointed when he caved in and completely disagree with him and anyone else that thinks he should have apologized.

That said, I have to agree with you. I can't let one moment of wrongly retracting his beliefs wipe out all of the incredibly great things he has done for the NO community and for just generally being a good person. Despite my disagreement and disappointment with him for giving in, I still respect him for all he has done and forgive him for letting mob rule take over. I refuse to let one mistake wipe out all of the good he has done.

Just don't let it happen again Drew!

Drew has already made 250 million in his career and is set for life. He has the financial freedom to defend his beliefs and walk away from the game if necessary with no consequences whatsoever.

And he chose to cave to the woke leftist mob.

I don’t feel a bit sorry for him.

People with far more to lose than he does hold to their principles all the time. He’s made the kind of ‘frick you’ money over the course of his career that would allow him to keep his convictions and walk away a year early...assuming he didn’t have the guts to just weather the storm a bit and ride this shite out.

Instead he sold out...and for what? The chance to play for one more year?

As for that post-career deal with NBC? That’s probably deader than Julius Caesar anyway now. He’s got half the people out there who don’t accept his apology and half who no longer respect him. NBC won’t want to deal with that.

So he in all likelihood, sold his soul for one last season...with teammates who’ll never look at him the same way again. And I can never respect that.

This is just getting sad at this point. He should just retire.
Drew had to apologize for the safety of his family. Drew will always be special to me for what he has accomplished for the Saints and the city of NOLA. My support for him, the Saints, and NOLA has reached it's conclusion. I can no longer support a bloodlust mob that can turn on Drew so quickly for expressing his personal views that the majority of white America agrees with. If they will attack a man like Drew, with his record on the field and in the community, how can the average white American ever gain the acceptance, cooperation or find common ground with the black community? The average white NOLA resident can't bring a championship to the city or donate millions of dollars. Even if we all could, it's never enough. Phuk NOLA! Phuk the Saints! Phuk Drew Brees!
