Agreed. However, many of us conservatives were in similar circumstances for different reasons. I for one actually voted for both Bushes thinking that they were just extensions of Ronald Reagan. In my political evolution I've realized how I've been duped my entire life. To think now that I actually supported the ex CIA head is something I'm not proud of.
We need to patiently accept them understanding that they may be trying to con us. Let their truth come out before we judge them. A convert can be a powerful ally or a raging infection. Time will tell.

MAGA is a coalition. There are people from both left and right. A lot of former Obama voters voted for Trump. I can't fully trust anyone who leans left but appreciate the votes for Trump wherever they come from.

Prime example is Ana Kasparian. If she looked like a nose tackle, people wouldn't care. But, because she's moderately attractive, there are guys who have convinced themselves she's MAGA and worthy of a cabinet position. She's still a hardcore socialist. She's just mad the Democratic Party has bungled things so badly.

This is basically what happens when they migrate to other areas. And that is how those areas end up screwed.

I feel that way about RFK Jr and Tulsi. They actively wanted to be part of that frickery. The left just wouldn't let them. Although I do believe Tulsi has at least renounced her membership.

This is the source of RINOs.

Waters down and divides the party. Makes it impossible to accomplish anything.

Most curious.

What “issues with Trump’s treatment of the military” cause you concern?

What “conspiracy theories” is he spreading?

Now age gives several characteristics that can be good and bad.

Age can increase the chances of death. Now Trump is 78 1/2 years old. The average life span of a 75 year old white-non Hispanic American male in 2016, as per the CDC is 11.2 years. So subtracting 7.5 on average he should live 3.7 years past his term. But, he is in vigorous health for his age. And I contend that assassination is the largest threat to his life, and that is not age dependent.

Age can bring on senility, but he shows absolutely no signs of impairment.

Age can increase one’s knowledge, experience, and wisdom! He has demonstrated all of this.

Therefore his age is a net positive.

Unfortunately many people don't see the bigger picture nor their motivation. They are merely a bridge to get the far left back to being somewhat centrists....all the while fooling us on the right.

He would occasionally say centrist things and triangulate during mid-terms to save face. But he was a full out neo-liberal and completely disgraced the office and turned our political system into the shitshow it is today.

give us some examples, policy examples. what recent policies have these republicans tried to implement that are too extreme?

It’s not nearly as extreme as the left’s lunacy, or even close, but some of the religious issues merge too much with government, in my opinion.

Before your heads explode, I’m a Christian. We go to church, we teach the Bible, we pray, I send a child to church school ….key words being I/we … not the government.
