Cut off the oxygen.

If there is no money to be had, you get the exodus without the negative political imagery.

In other words: Enforce the laws already on the books.

ETA: I’ll revise and amend: Still deport when the cases present themselves, but don’t make “rounding up” the story.

So you are going to let them become citizens eventually?

We have to deport. I'm all for going after the employers too, but if you cut off the jobs these illegals do have and don't deport them, they will turn to crime.

They don't even need to deport all the illegals to send the right message to any future criminals.

Do both. But just cracking down on employers will not get rid of criminals. And sleeper cells. And I don't give a rats arse about lib 'public opinion'.

If you don't deport and seal the border, you will get amnesty. There's a chance we get amnesty before January, as it is.

There is much we dont know about the economic impact (positive or negative) of deporting illegals currently working here. For example in Wisconsin there is an estimated 10000 illegals (70 percent of the workforce) working in there dairy industry. If they all are forced out and those business shut down or there is major supply disruption or price increases that will of course make headlines.

Hotels, building contractors, and landscapers will be scrambling to hire people who are citizens and the resulting demand will increase wages. The economy will take off.

Additionally, you get ride of a few million illegals renting homes and these landlords will start learning about unprofitability and many will decide to sell, which will force more properties onto the market and lower the cost of homes for lower and middle class*.

*Trump needs to put up guardrails against Black Rock and others to prevent buying up inventory and keeping homes from being sold to individuals.

As a Sheriff from South Texas told me last year” the people showing up at the border now are coming with their hands out. They aren’t the Mexican workers you saw 20-30-40 years ago. Most of these millions aren’t even from Mexico.” A large contingent of these migrants are fat catting in hotel rooms being paid to sit on their asses ny the US taxpayer. Get them the fricknout.

anything short of deportation ground game #1 is amnesty by "running out the clock" ! been there , saw REGRET do that in 80s. tired of the campaign promises that evaporate.

I don't disagree with the sentiment, but when will the federal government stop relying on private employers to do the federal government's job?

farmers are the root cause of all this amnesty ! they leverage gov to allow immigration (various titles) then under pay immigrant so gov can subsidize the cost of existence. farmers should first heads to roll by ice crack downs.

Thats fine and all ....but how is that going to effect prices of produce and milk?
Trump got elected to b/c folks blamed Biden for inflation and they were getting hammered every time they go to the grocery store. Its funny how 20 years ago conservatives were are the side of cheap immigrant labor and it was the dems bitching about it hurting the American worker.
