If I were Trump or Nauta I would oppose it. I would want as much of a circus as possible. I want the government "leaking" as much as possible for PR purposes. All for mass consumption. But, a gag would work for him well too. He could more effectively play the victim card.
The truth is that in most cases you probably want a gag on discovery materials getting out and who knows what Trump will want, but he loves the spectacle....and chaos.

This obtuse game you play where you pretend not to know the answer to your question is fascinating. No the DOJ isn’t tweeting. They are leaking to their media outlets so the lemmings know what they’re supposed to think. It will be impossible to get an untainted jury even in Florida because they have an army of media stooges that have already convicted him.

I'm going to suggest that a case in which the defendant is running for president, leading in the polls, and who is facing an alleged political prosecution to prevent that presidency, might be a little bit different than your personal injury case.
This is a legitimate, huge first amendment issue.
