If you only knew how much food is thrown away every single day at every single schoo
1. This doesn't make the food cost any less.
2. This is largely due to morons who think we have to give kids a "healthy lunch" full of things kids won't eat. Each kid MUST get a fruit, a meat, a side, etc etc etc even if he/she isn't going to eat all that. Since they force kids to get one of everything, they have to prepare one of everything for every kid at the school. They have to assume no one brings a lunch from home that day. Of course there is waste.
If we would let these places run like a restaurant runs, every school lunchroom would be able to turn a profit, or at least be able to pay for itself.

Yea, we know how wasteful the govt is and yet people like you still want to let them blow more of it.

Stop talking and get busy. If it means that much to you then go do it yourself if you think everything is free, dummy.

And yet again, do you know why?
Government regulations.

pretty sure there’s a catch

I'm not clicking this, but I assume these are monsters who committed horrific acts.
Those two animals (deliberately chosen term) ceded any dignity they had during their actions. There was "no likeness to God" in them.

every human possesses inherent worth

If human dignity isn't inherent, why would murder be universally considered wrong?

Do you have any idea as to the inequity or inegality of outcome and/or justice within the region which your friend is addressing?
Would you call it less equitable/fair than the American criminal Justice system?

Let's address more efficient use of current funds. Not just in school food programs btw. But in public schools generally. We spend more as a society on primary and secondary public school than nearly any other society on the planet. Yet the result is often pathetic. We can do better!
Let's reimagine a new approach rather throwing more money at failed solutions.
Inefficiency and waste is the concern behind Iowa and other states' refusal of the program.

Your are essentially saying that it would be better if the the poor children didn’t exist

So why don't you get off your arse and start feeding all of these supposedly "starving" children. What have you done to make this better?

A family of five gets a SNAP benefit of up to $1155 monthly. That is more than I spend on groceries earning my own keep. We don’t need more freebies.

Correct. These families are living high on the hog.

Human dignity isn't measurable. Humans have it or they don't.

When you heard about the latest school shooting, did you think "I'll reserve judgement until I find out whether or not those who were killed were actually good people or not"?
When 9/11 happened, did you think the same? Did you think "Well, maybe there were some assholes there that day, so we shouldn't mourn ALL the lives lost. Lets run background checks first."

This could be true. After becoming much more acquainted with our criminal justice system, I do find that hard to believe.

Parents should feed their own kids its not the job of the government. What does that have to do with pro life?
Should you starve elementary school kids because they have shite parents, or parent, because I'm sure there is only 1 around?
I only say this because I have teacher friends who say the weekend food that gets sent home with some kids is the only food they have at all at home. They live with a crackhead baby mama who would sell their food if she could for drug money. These kids try to hide their food so that they will have something to eat.
Giving them food all summer doesn't fix problems. It's just a band aid. But I do want to attempt to keep kids from being hungry and they aren't getting taken away from the baby mama, so what to do?

Communism in its purest form, folks.
BTW, those physicians were doing the right thing during covid, right? Right?

Pro life is a position in the abortion argument.
Stop being an idiot and making it literal to any other issue
It’s like saying “pro choice” people hate anyone having a choice about anything.

She’s done nothing. She nothing more than a lazy commie who would rather bitch, complain, and point the finger so she can virtue signal and attack her political opponents. That’s exactly what this thread is about, attacking pro-life Americans while using “feeding kids” as cover.
She is disgusting

Following the laws created by your state legislature is communist?
That’s a new one, but y’all will go to very great lengths to paint me as a communist… so par for the course, I suppose.

You’re alive! You have internet access! You have a device that can access the internet! You’re way better off than so many people. Be happy.
