I think this is far more the media giving exposure to those who think like they do, thus creating the illusion that there's this vast push among the majority of blacks for things like CRT when most non-news-industry-promoted views from blacks are to the contrary.

No, on average they're more based than wypipo.
They just think Republicans are out to get them. People vote self-preservation first.
Same reason evangelicals voted for Donald "King Cyrus" Trump. Alternative is a party that forces them to choose between their conscience and their livelihood.

Every survey shows that a majority of blacks do not support defunding the police.
If you look at most "woke" supporting causes, there are a lot of do gooder whites driving the cause.
I read the FB page about the guy whose car was stolen while he was pumping gas in NOLA. The black posters were almost universally decrying the crime in East New Orleans. There was one whiner who felt that East New Orleans was being unfairly tarnished, but she was called out by two or three black commenters.
The problem is we have a society now where do gooders and loudmouths get a lot of attention due to social media.
I have observed that there seems to be a growing black backlash to the "woke" community.
