You are ignorant, I'm telling you. China has one functional (meaning it at least floats) aircraft carrier, an outdated Soviet-era diesel powered one that required an escort in case it broke down during a recent test. It did break down and had to be towed back to home port. China is not our peer in terms of Naval power projection, air superiority, or even land combat capability. Submarines? China is decades behind us.

US military is notorious for bloat. We mistake bombastic waste for stealth and strategy. I would say Israel has a more efficient military. Interestingly enough, Israel's military is very decentralized.

Israel’s military is easily the best in the world when adjusted for dollars spent, per capita, etc etc.
It’s not even close - they are the dream team. Would love to see Japan allowed to build a military - would make a ton of sense given their locale and natural rivalry with China

False. They are 10-30 years behind in electronic warfare systems, communications, air to air and air to ground ordinance, jet propulsion, stealth coatings, and many other airforce technologies.

The US Navy has more admirals than ships now. The fleet is the smallest it's been since post WWI (back when we had a considerably smaller population). That's what you get when your carriers are $15 billion apiece, and your subs are $3 billion apiece. Hell, the F-35 is twice as expensive as the Super Hornet (literally... Boeing offered a structured buy at $50 mil a copy, while the F-35C is still over $100 mil per copy).
When, with every new design, weapons double in price, pretty soon, you're not going to have very many weapons.

Misleading. They may have more surface vessels, but quantity of vessels does not equate to having a larger or more capable navy. The only ship they have that is a near peer to our own is their type 55 destroyer.

It was supposed to be some "gotcha" a few weeks ago. China has more ships, but we outweigh them massively. They also don't have near the fleet of aircraft carriers we have, so at sea, we own the water and the sky.
Their subs have had...problems. So, China's navy is all quantity, hardly any quality.
