Any recent updates? Seems like Trump and Tillis have a decent shot at winning. Will the shutdown governor of Cooper finally get replaced?

No. Charlotte and Raleigh-Durham have too many votes. It's the same pattern we're seeing across the country...urban centers controlling the rest of the state.

Cooper is such a clown. Can't understand how anyone votes for him. Only reason he beat McCrory was due to the “bathroom bill”. Retarded.

I live in The triangle and it's full of liberals. It's a shame that people are cool with lockdowns. Nothing but sheep to the slaughter.

But why is that the case for the governor's race, and not the President or Senate races when they are on the same ballot?

All I see in WNC is Forest stuff but I think the Triangle and Charlotte will put Cooper over and on Nov 4 Cooper will go back to more restrictions.

Just this past week Cooper tried to pressure county to be more restrictive so he didnt have to do that.

I still don't understand how it's basically a foregone conclusion that Cooper wins the governorship, while there is optimism that Trump wins the presidential vote (and Tillis the Senate vote). Is it just because he's an incumbent Governor? Seems strange that most aren't giving Forest a chance, yet think Trump is favored in the state.

Cooper has also massively outspent Forrest as well, raised 3x what Forrest has raised

When I cross into Columbus and Brunswick Counties, I see nothing but Forrest signs.

Honestly I’m more confident in Forest winning in NC than I am Trump winning. I think we have 5 people on the ballot for Governor this year. I could see Democrats disgruntled with Cooper more likely to vote third party for just this race, than the others. Just my hunch

well i voted for Forest on the principal he is saying he would help open schools. The public schools in wake county have finally started staggered in person school for grades k-3. no plan in place to bring pack high school kids. this covid experience has been a huge eye opener for me towards the state of NC. we are currently applying to private schools.

Is there a runoff if none of the candidates for Gov reach 50%?

I think Forest's chance are underestimated. That idiot cooper is pro-shutdown and promotes covid fear porn. I think people have had enough. I also think there is heavy Republican turnout and support (a lot from dems).

And the majority of the people in the two largest population centers of the state love him for it.

Are there widespread power outages in the counties around you?

Wow. My kids have been in school since late August in La. Two cases amongst about 700 kids have occurred. No massive spreading.
