Well now you're changing the argument. I never said being a basketball coach wasn't difficult or stressful. He is paid to get results.. just like most people in any profession. I'm saying that just because he's a successful basketball coach doesn't mean that if he had to go find another job tomorrow he'd be qualified to be the CEO at Microsoft.

That's what's great about this country. He has every right to have an opinion. I have every right to disagree with that opinion. The problem is there are dumbasses in the world (some in this thread) that assume a disagreement with Doc over this quote is somehow "racist" or that we just want to keep the brother down. I'm sick of that shite. People need to realize that if Doc was Chineses and said this about the China gov't he would be disappeared. America loves black people. We just hate people that turn everything into a black/white issue.

Do people not understand that when athletes and celebrities refer to "we" in these situations they are referring to their collective race and not themselves as individuals?

Do members of most races compare themselves to the shittier members said race has to offer so publicly and often? This dude was a piece of crap with a huge history. Why is any successful, law abiding person drawing parallels simply based on a shared skin color?

The way he was talking about the republican convention last night was fricking weird. He was acting as if every white person is a republican and every black person is a democrat. Dumb shite

I have noticed this alot

87% of the country is non-black

And yet, somehow, people think Obama was elected in spite of white people

I think what people are implying is that if this country had active ill intent towards black people then it’s a bit strange that we have entities that exist in which black people can go out and disproportionately earn more money in a year than just about everyone here will earn in their entire working life.

And maybe that whole thought isn’t expressed when they make the short one line quip, but that’s my interpretation of what is being said.

We have a winner.

There are countless examples of black folks who succeed in life. The ones that don't succeed have something in common with folks of all races who don't succeed. They don't value education or a nuclear family. Not saying that you absolutely have to value education or a nuclear family to succeed, but if you don't succeed, chances are that you're missing one or both of these values.

Truth is, if "America" truly hated black people, Jim Crow or worse would still exist.

Black people only make up 13% of the population, if "America" as whole truly hated them, it would be awful awful times for black people in this country like it used to be

When some uppity millionaire starts preaching how rough his life experience is, yes, I'm going to be dismissive. Rivers can GTFO with that bullshite.

These assholes are acting like we're still in the Jim Crow era.

You’re talking about .000006% of the US population that have the potential to earn this type of money. What about the majority of African Americans that have to live in fear of being gunned down by police on a daily basis?

The NBA lost all credibility when they sold out to the PRC.

I mean, you still have policy today that has negatively impacted blacks today. Shelby v. Holder for example gutted the Voting Rights Act., which allowed voting locations to close, and have stricter ID laws than usual.

So you are saying the majority of black people commit crimes? Because everyone gunned down was in fact committing a crime, most violent ones......

Seriously. Don't go around committing crimes, and if you do get arrested, do what the police say. If you disagree with being arrested, fight them in court, not on the street.

Obey the law and comply with police orders and you have absolutely nothing to worry about.

This applies to anyone of any color.
