Don’t be disingenuous. This board rails on Steve Kerr and Pop just as much for the same opinions. It’s the opinion the board hates now who it comes from

A fricking black man was elected president

And considering black people only makeup 13% of the population, that black man was elected by white people in America

So, the sentiment that “America” doesn’t love black people is ludicrous and nothing can support that argument

If he said, "This country doesn't support us Americans who work", then yes, he would be railed on and appropriately so.

Do people not understand that when athletes and celebrities refer to "we" in these situations they are referring to their collective race and not themselves as individuals?

I'm not saying Doc is right or wrong here, but why does this board insist on misrepresenting the argument? They aren't speaking out for themselves, they are speaking out for their collective race.

Mosr people, especially on here are selfish, so they can't fathom someone else speaking and not being selfish. For example, if LeBron talks about it being hard being a black man in America. He isn't talking about himself. He knows how good he has it. He is talking about all the folks who doesn't have it nearly as good as he does in life.

I'm completely fine with debating against their premise. Im a black man and I don't necessarily agree with the premise of what Doc or maybe LeBron is saying. But using the "you're a millionaire, so shut up" just kind of misses the point and is disingenuous.

Lebron said he himself is a modern day Emmett Till over a fake hate crime he concocted

Are you under the impression that being a basketball coach is akin to rocket science? He's not "managing" 10-15 millionaires doing any sort of life altering work. They show up and play basketball because they are paid handsomely to do so. Don't act like organizing 7' foot chess pieces on a board makes him Isaac Newton.

It's weird.

You had to completely change the sentence structure to manipulate your point. Probably a good sign your point sucks.

Just leave it at “this country doesn’t support us” and yes he would be lambasted

Can we just stick with how ridiculous and victim mentality doc rivers is?

Once again, a country who is majority white, elected a black man as president TWICE yet "America" hates black people.

Its absurd

Like managing a bunch of $15 tax preparers is more difficult or stressful than managing a roster of nba players

It’s days like today when I am come to this board and I am reminded of just how ignorant and racist some Americans are.
The amount of people on this board that are dismissive of black voices and experiences... I really do hope that one day you can open your heart, self reflect, and learn to improve.

Doc Rivers opinion on this is absurd. Just a basic fact. He is the ignorant one that needs to open his eyes and heart
