I have extended family from Venezuela so yes I want Maduro removed but I have to recuse myself as to whether we should have a hand in it or how far we should push.

These are the best kind of comments. I trust information in this interactive forum than I do from any static news source.

Does your extended family think that Maduro is involved in the drug trade? Do they think that Maduro sends criminals to the US?

THANKS

As far as Venezuela is concerned, I’m only worried about the infinite number of migrants they keep sending our way, refusal to accept deportations, and the mass drug smuggling

If you want to do away with "mass drug smuggling" from Venezuela we should be taking control of all of the Caribbean islands.

At this point, it makes more sense to get rid of Maduro in whatever manner we can. He is indicted in this country.

believe he should be taken out in the initial simultaneous strikes on all others and their facilities.

Are we including drone strikes on the cartel-owned "leader" of Mexico as well?

I wouldn't suggest it nor condone it, but it may be an international incident that turns out to be worth the cost.

It is our business when they have been caught rigging (hacking) ALL of our elections. From President elections down to the local county clerk - ALL OVER OUR COUNTRY.

He needs to go.

I haven’t discussed that with them but they are really excited at the possibility of returning to their home without Maduro. They are certainly anti maduro. I hope that is a possibility for them soon.

Thanks. There seems to be widespread agreement that Maduro didn't actually win the last election.

Last question. What did they think about Hugo Chavez?

It depends what it entails. If all it takes is a few bombs, sure, why not? If it takes 10 years and 50k US deaths, then no.

The reality is that it will be much, much closer to a few bombs than the ME or Vietnam wars. Which is why all the Trump-haters pumping out fear porn over another Iraq/Afghanistan are ridiculous.

Yes, get rid of the commie bastard. But no US boots on the ground, only Venezuelan nationals armed by the US. This would get rid of so many problems down in S.A.
Also, now that I think about it, do the same for Cuba. Give those people the liberty that they have been deprived of for 60 plus years.

Send troops in? No.

Force him out of office short of sending in troops? Yes.

Keep in mind he would not be in office BUT for the Cubans. The Cubans run his military as well as the government. Maduro is also bringing in Iran and the Chinese. He has already tried to destabilize neighboring countries.

He leads an illegitimate government. They people duly elected someone else but Maduro and Cuba ignored the election.

He is also sending sanctioned oil around the world. Seize the damn tankers and cut off his money.

Getting rid of him when there is an elected government waiting to take over (Unlike Iran) which will minimize bloodshed. It will settle the country down and keep refugees from fleeing to US.

When you allow your greatest global adversaries to cozy up to your regional neighbor you are asking for trouble. China and Russia can't stop us in their areas because we have been there for almost 100 years. We however, can prevent them from setting a foothold.
You're full retarded if you dont think securing our hemisphere isn't America first.
The world is set not in 4 year increments, but decades.
