Thoughts: only one - obey the law, including speed limits and traffic laws, and you won't have to worry about whether there are unmarked cars or not.

Exactly...Agreed. This is what I've been taught since a kid way way back, and the police were doing the teaching. I see you got a down vote. Are people just ignorant to the normal procedure? Are cops going against this now, and if so why aren't lawyers jumping on this easy money?

Give us one incident where this happened. If it ever did, CNN et al would be making this "breaking news". I HAVE heard of several incidents, nation wide, where a LEO approached a car on a routine traffic stop & ended being shot / killed when the driver pulled out a gun. It's because of shite like this that La. State Troopers now have to wear protective ( hot as hell ) vest on traffic stops. But do give us one example of fear happening real life.

I don’t like the local yokal loser Franklinton police chief riding around in a blacked out Tahoe that I pay for. Especially considering it’s a vehicle he wouldn’t otherwise have the resources to afford based on his aptitude for anything economically valuable to a private enterprise. I like to dig a little deeper than just what they’re doing that annoys me. A lot of these departments shouldn’t exist. Get rid of them. It’s a waste of tax payer and sales tax dollars. Just cut the taxes.

I’m not pulling over for an unmarked car flashing a siren at me. I’d rather deal with the tickets when the real cops join in than get car jacked.

No because it seems they can do things we can't. I saw a cop car the other day that had super tinted windshield. We would get pulled over for that if we wanted it to stop cameras peeking into our cars.

If you are obeying laws, unmarked police vehicles should not be an issue. Sounds like you wish or have skirted the law.

Should a marked car be able to hide behind shrubbery or a billboard? Essentially the same thing. Maybe just obey the law and it won’t matter if the cop is in a black and white unit or a champagne gold sedan.
