Not for traffic detail. Needs to be a clearly marked car instead of a “stealth” car.

Which is normal because you likely don’t live in the hood where unmarked cars are necessary for drug and gang units.
They even know a PIU without roof racks is a police car.
Ford PIUs are only sold to law enforcement and never come with roof racks.
I know of an agency that wanted to use a Hyundai SUV for their drug dog K9 vehicle because the criminals knew when his normal car was around. Now they will eventually figure the Hyundai so there’s that.

My city has switched to ghosted graphics. It’s marked but in the daylight it’s almost impossible to see the lettering in the daylight.
Don’t like that on patrol cars.
We don’t have much crime though so I suppose it’s not a big deal. Those guys just drive around in circles all day. Great gig for a cop.

for actual undercover or surveillance work? Sure.
