Do you support cutting military spending?

We spend more on our military than the next ten countries combined, what’s the reason for this? During the Cold War we had to stay ahead of the game due to the USSR, I get that, but that’s over with and the world is much more economically integrated as well. Do you support closing some bases, cutting weapons programs, etc?
We have a massive budget deficit and yeah entitlements are part of that, cut them too, but are you for making significant cuts to the military? If not, why?

Yes
I could be persuaded, but I have to think there are very considerable cuts that could be made without any noticeable loss in readiness/effectiveness

I'm for capping military spending. Why not cuts? Because the Dems will waste the savings (and more). At least defense is specified in the Constitution.
The budget ALWAYS gets balanced on the backs of the DoD - would be nice to see someone else take a bite for a change.

Not at the moment. Until the cabal is wiped out, we need to make sure our military is prepared for battle.
With that said, if we're going to cut stuff (we should), we should look at entitlements and other waste first.

Absolutely NOT!!! All we here about is ISIS, Russia and North Korea. If we are going to defeat all of our enemies, we need investment. The Military is the backbone of America. Weaken our military and you weaken America!

Yes. They need to get smarter with their spending. They won't have a choice but to be smarter with spending, if it gets cut.

Procurement Officers from all services should be banned.
These Officers have to sell their souls to the whims of Politicians, high ranking Staff Officers, and Contractors.
If a procurement project fails, it is all but the end of a career for an Officer assigned to the project.

Yep, cut a portion of their budget and send it to NASA for research. They’re the ones developing technology that the rest of us use (military included)

There are some overseas bases that I get we need, especially in SE Asia. By and large I agree though, and there is no reason for us still to be in Afghanistan.
