Sorry about the collateral damage but most federal workers want half the country dead.

The people they hate pay their salaries from real hardworking jobs.

Spending $70,000, a third of my income last year, in taxes to support bloated federal, state, and local governments is ruining my life.

I’m not seeing where NRCS employees are being laid off. Do you mean he’s been furloughed as part of the shutdown? You know he will receive back pay for the time he was furloughed right?

Don't be such a pussy. I think you're making the story up. Telling you that is not "attacking" you. Why are you referring to your friend in the past tense?

The sad fact is that the Dem Party sold American workers out to open the Border and give free money and healthcare to illegals. And that Birder would still be open with tens of millions flooding the Nation with many dangerous and psychotic individuals who will never work a day in their life.

Not to mention the inflation on our Middle Class workers who bear that “hidden tax” with all the massive spending.

Did your friend vote Democratic? If so he owns it. Free stuff is not free.

I have a problem with a politician making $200,000 per year then getting a lifetime pension. If I have a problem with their salary and pension you can rest assured I wish horrible things for those who abuse the public's trust to enrich themselves even further while in office.

What did he actually DO

He was a civil engineer

I started my career as a flunkie civil engineer working in land development in the 1980's.

I had to meet with your friends counterpart at the city of Houston close to Christmas one year. Riding the slow arse elevator, at the city engineering offices, with some people who were the 80's version of DEI hires. The conversation centered on the office Christmas parties. I gathered each section had their own party and everyone was invited to each party. I just wanted to ask the plan checker my questions so I could get back to my own office and work. These wide ladies wanted to amble at .0003 mph as they wandered the halls. If it was like that in the eighties I can't imagine what it is like now!

I assume your friend is a plan checker. There are great jobs for Civil engineers in the private sector, and he knows what a good set of plans should look like. Now, he will have to turn in his red pencil. Your friend should have no problem finding a job, if he is willing to work longer hours.

You know what’s ironic? He’s a veteran and he voted for Trump A huge percentage of the federal workforce is made up of veterans. And a lot of them vote red

And he lost his job due to democrats wanting to fund illegals, among other things they want to waste money on.

My friend works for an agricultural agency and he just got laid off. This guy wasn’t some “elitist” high-income individual who was living in DC. He had a family to take care of with 2 kids and they were paying off a mortgage. They were an average, working class family and Trump basically gave them the middle finger by laying him of
who did he vote for?

Be that as it may, the country can't afford them. We can't afford our massive government, the overzealous regulation, the taxes, the debt. We can't afford the healthcare system they've corrupted, or social services for the immigrants they've imported. We can't afford the salaries, the pensions, the corruption, the inefficiency, the trillions spent pandering to buy votes, or to fight wars that are none of our business.

We need more regular everyday people in the private sector and fewer in government. Tell your friend to go work in the private sector; he'll learn what it feels like to produce something for a living instead of trying to micromanage a country of 330 million people. He and his peers in the govt bureaucracy have done too much for too long at too great a cost, and we'll be lucky to survive the resulting financial crisis that's headed our way.
