Not really but my Grandfather was a Captain in the navy. Destroyer escort during WW2. 27 yo and was commanding 50+ men in battle.
He was pretty conservative I think.

Of the military people I know, three are active duty infantry Marines and love Trump.
One is retired Marine pilot and loves Trump.
One is in the US Navy and I don’t think cares.
Two are US Army and are retards but hate Dems.
One retired Army officer I know who would probably suck Trump off if given the chance and he’s not gay.

One of my good buddies is a hard liberal. But he can joke around like a Republican. He actually has a sense of humor which is nice. He doesn't get butt hurt when we joke around

Lots of military folks are very liberal. It isn't the majority, but it is a significant number. I can't explain it, but I can't deny the fact either.

After 20+ years I can tell you:
About 10% AD serving are genuine progs, well invested and watch politics.
About 30% vote D because they think they should, family, race, etc.
About 40-50% vote R on patriotism alone.
The other upwards of 20% are woke as frick, have had to clear rooms for these fricking villains, work in embassy duty, green doors, etc. Absolutely don't give 2 shits to the stupid L/R paradigm, know its all BS, and just try to get by with their brotherhood in service.
If they vote, they will vote R because they have no other good options.

I don't really know any active military, but of those that were in the service that I know, they're pretty evenly spread across conservative, libertarian, and liberal. The most liberal ones are former Marines, while the most conservative are former Air Force.

A real good friend of mine works in intelligence with the Marines. He says most of them speak how much of an idiot Trump is on a daily basis but a few in his department do back Trump.
I would label him as an independent that leans to the right a little, definitely not a full blown liberal.
