It wasn't really reinforcement.

What's going to enrage a lot of you, ultimately, is that intelligence is more an art that involves a lot of subjectivity and opinion rather than a science. This is going to give everyone involved a LOT of leeway, even those who aren't criminally immune.

I doubt any of the big fish even see a set of handcuffs. Minor Democrats will take the fall. But, Obama, Clinton, Rice, Clapper, et al., will not be touched.

It would be easier to hold him criminally liable than civilly.

There's a .05% chance he's held criminally liable & a -0% chance he's held to civil liability.

Not that it's not warranted, there's just too much protection for presidents & former presidents in the constitution.

You are betting that the first black POTUS is going to be charged, tried, convicted and sentenced in under 6 months?

These acts were almost assuredly core acts.

You glossed right past this part, didn't you?

The modern federal crime of seditious conspiracy under 18 U.S.C. § 2384 focuses on conspiracies involving the use of force against the government or its laws.

Important: These legal definitions and limitations on presidential power emphasize that a president's authority does not legitimize seditious acts. According to the American Civil Liberties Union, upholding the rule of law protects against the abuse of power and ensures accountability for all, including elected officials.

In essence, the US legal framework and constitutional principles dictate that a president's power is limited and does not extend to authorizing or participating in seditious acts

lso, how is he not absolutely immune from this prosecution? Ignoring the strength of the case, this should fall under executive function which would make him immune.

Real question. If Obama was involved in a coup after Trumps inauguration, even if it started before, does he still have immunity? Is presidential immunity in perpetuity?

The documented intelligence that was gathered by people paid to do so states that there is no indication that Russia attempted to or even had the ability to influence the election. Obama saying that his subjective opinion is that the intelligence was wrong isn't going to cut it.

This is probably what Jack Smith was going to charge Trump with if he lost the election. Sedition.
