I agree LSU handled that whole situation poorly. It’s a weird hill to die on. But that doesn’t erase 100years of conference affiliation. I would expect the rest of the SEC charter members to understand. I get why the old big 12 members do not understand it. Not a dig but you’ve basically been through several conferences in your history. The original members of the SEC have been in 1, forever

LSU pushed boundaries but they will assimilate. They have no choice. Despite what fans think, the LSU brand can’t make it as an independent. Even Texas learned that with the longhorn network. LSU is better as a sum of the whole.

Be real. LSU isn’t getting thrown out of the SEC. I refuse to believe that the chancellors and presidents of the SEC institutions are so shallow that they’d vote out a charter member. Especially a big six member effectively erasing 100 years of history due to 1 moron coach that they don’t like. My best guess is it will be a pressure campaign and LSU will assimilate.

I also think anyone who thinks the league presidents are as dense as Danes that they’d be willing to ditch a team that helped mold this conference for the past 92 years? I ain’t buying that. There’s also no world that exists where Tennessee and ole miss are so enamored/ jealous of an old coach that they’d vote yes either. They did the exact same as lsu would have don’t to them. Threaten them then back down once LSU did and vote no. Coaches have jumped team to team for 100 years. That’s the dumbest arguement of them all
