Only an idiot would want to fire DeBoer after that game.
Agreed. I guess you can blame coaching for the turnovers to some degree but Bama was leading the conference in turnover margin so it's not like that was a chronic problem going in. Even with the turnovers, they had a chance to win at the end.
I think it's time to see what the backup kicker can do though. The snap on the kick before the half was a little high and might have thrown Talty's timing off but it was makeable. Him trying to throw the snapper under the bus shows that he's starting to crack.

Both teams looked good… it just seemed like Purdue was a notch better the whole way through.
I agree. It's a small sample size but Purdue looks like a favorite to win it all, especially when Smith plays like he did last night. I didn't like that Bama lost but it's pretty encouraging that they hung in as long as they did.

Washington was 102nd in rushing attempts per game.
They were #1 in passing ypg. They didn't need to dominate on the ground. They just needed to keep defenses honest, which they did.
Other than Parker Brailsford, the OL talent isn't suited to run Grubb's offense.
Patience lil' bro, recruiting will take care of it.

I told Bama fans last year they wouldn't be able to run the ball with Grubb. They were all "But washington had a 1000 yard back in 15 games herp derp"
1,195 yards, 233 attempts, 5.13 ypc, 16 tds
That'll do, herp derp

This is a wet dream of the right, though.
Thinking that there are only Twinkie-sized kids that will line up to take a beating g is false.
Biden imported military aged males by the thousands. They are who she is talking TO.
The freebies are on the line. They didn’t trek here for nothing. They are three meals away from saying yes ma’am.
That's a fair point. I was thinking more of the skateboard swinging antifa types. The military aged males that Biden imported would be more of a problem if they decided to rise up. It wouldn't end well for them considering they are already being rounded up for deportation. If they started killing citizens, Trump would go scorched earth. I agree though, the casualties would be a lot higher for the right with them involved.

They want to have the masculine dummies do violence for them
Therein lies the problem. There's not an ounce of masculinity on the left.
If they actually tried to go all violent, they would find that out real quick.

Yep, and also his strange obsession with "global health". It gave him cover to send money to the enemy.
Apparently, when Obama weaponized the IRS, it wasn't just to go after republican supporters. It was also to turn a blind eye to treason.

Bama had a Heisman winning QB that couldn't carry his team to victory.
Funny how losing the only WRs worth a damn affects a QB.

So everyone here is totally cool with the government having control over what the media can report?
The media is already being controlled in what they can report. Are you cool with that?

Bama looks good. That being said, they were curbed stop by a team that 2-10 last season.
Bama went into that game with the same idea that they were playing a 2-10 team. In reality, they were playing a proud program that had regrouped, on their turf, and in front of a frenzied crowd. Bama got hit in the mouth and frankly, just rolled over. They got caught flat footed and were thoroughly embarrassed kind of like FSU was the previous year. The difference is that FSU never recovered whereas Bama immediately got their shite together. That's good coaching and that's why the "experts" need to cool their jets the next time the want to throw DeBoer to the wolves.

He don't realize milroe no longer around to gift wrap points for Vandy, as he did last year.
I'm more concerned about Wommack's play calling on defense. If he doesn't mix it up in the secondary and figure out a way to apply pressure, Vandy could dominate time of possession again and limit Bama's opportunities on offense. Then every possession becomes critical. I agree though that Simpson is much better equipped to handle that kind of pressure than Milroe was.

Even I judge myself as stupid for still having this discussion You people are absolute morons How many times do I have to say it's Democrat leftist liberal policies that it allowed this to happen
but the terroristic acts are committed because they they radical conservative religious belief
I don't think the key words are liberal or conservative. I think the key word is radical. It's radical for a party to willingly invite people into the country that have openly stated the intent of killing all "infidels". That distinction belongs 100% to the left.
The old saying "An evil enemy will burn his own nation to the ground to rule over the ashes" is absolutely fitting.
How anyone who has any sense of self preservation could still even consider voting democrat is beyond me.

They'll follow their party hard left right off the cliff. They have spent way too much time and energy convincing themselves that they are the smart ones, that they are on the right side of history. I think the realization that the opposite may be true has sent them over the edge. Reason and logic have left the building for them if it was ever there to begin with.

He is no where near Burrow, Tebow, Newton, Manziel, etc...
So in your mind, this equals "average at best"? This is the second time that you've tried to say that I think I know more than pro scouts, coaches, blah, blah....No, I don't.
However, you obviously know more about it than Nick Saban. Clearly, the GOAT should have asked for your guidance before putting such a dud at QB.
He might have won 3 straight instead 2.

I’d say he was a great game manager and an above average overall QB. He was not special and won games by not making many mistakes and having the best individual units every time he stepped onto the field. I won’t fault a man for having the best players around him but I also won’t anoint him as an all-timer when his team clearly carried him.
I'm not trying to say that he was some kind of generational QB. My point was that he wasn't "average at best". Like you said, he was a great game manager but he was also capable of putting up numbers when needed.
Against A&M in 2013, Bama couldn't just play ball control and hope that the defense could somehow stop Manziel. They needed production from the QB. AJ threw for 334 yds, 4 TDs and a completion percentage of 76.9%. He was no Tua or Bryce Young but he was good regardless of the talent around him.

He had tons of time because of a top tier Oline, an amazing RB, and pro recievers, and one of the best CFB coaches ever, not to mention a top-tier defense. Does not get easier then that...most starting Div 1 QBs could easily do that. He is average at best.
He was taken in the fifth round...the NFL scouts agree he isn't great, but you know more than them. Those loser do not know more than you! You know Football better then all the scouts, experts, coaches etc..
Average QBs don't get drafted. Average QBs don't win national awards. Average QBs don't get voted first team All-American by the AFCA (American Football Coaches Association).
Every Division 1 head coach got a vote and AJ received more votes than anybody including the likes of Jameis Winston, Johnny Manziel and Derek Carr.
This clearly hurts but AJ McCarron was way above average as a college quarterback. Learn it, live it, love it.
