Not sure if a Trump endorsement would have mattered but in retrospect Trump may be correct.

Trump's endorsement didn't help Kelly when he lost in 2020.

January 15, 2020

[Madison, WI] – In case you missed it, President Donald J. Trump endorsed Justice Daniel Kelly for Wisconsin’s Supreme Court during his “Keep America Great” rally in Milwaukee on Tuesday.

President Trump said, “Last spring, Wisconsin voters, as you know, elected a great judge to your State Supreme Court, and this spring you have a chance to re-elect another terrific judge, Justice Daniel Kelly. Go vote for Justice Daniel Kelly to defend the rule of law in Wisconsin.”

They just want to make sure the GOP stays the party of Trump, even if it means losing year after year after year.

And make no mistake - if Trump is the nominee in 2024, it's going to be bloodbath for the GOP. But maybe that's exactly what the GOP needs - bitter medicine to excise the Trump cancer that is handing election after election to the Democrats.

Are we not remembering the pathetic showings by McCain and Romney? Were they winning? Refresh my memory?

And yes. The GOP probably does need to be destroyed, that is long over due. It is completely useless, and serves as nothing but a gatekeeper for people looking for real change and a real defensive pushback to the Marxist left. The GOP has been wholly insufficient at providing any sort of backstop to any of what the Democrats have unleashed on us, especially post 2008.

How do you know he wouldn't have lost by more without Trump's endorsement?

Yes, I've been pissed for three months while he trashes DeSantis.

I have been pissed that DeSantis is surrounding him self with shity GOPE people.

I have been pissed that he went back on his removal of Disney Tax Status after Griffin went to the media to literally say " I do NOT APPRECIATE Gov DeSantis going after their tax status".

I have been pissed ever since DeSantis suggested that the indictment of a former president isn't real and that he had REAL problems to deal with in fl....

Most of that has been over a year ago!

He lost by more in 2020, with Trump's endorsement, than he did this year.

Trump is saying Kelly would have won this year if he would have gotten Trumps endorsement. Kelly had it in 2020 and he lost by a lot. You think in 2023 that Kelly would have magically won because of Trump's endorsement?

Here are the votes in WI in 2020.

House Republicans 1,661,399
Joe Biden 1,630,866
Donald Trump 1,610,184
House Democrats 1,566,671

JJObama will try and spin these numbers. He will fail.

He loses either way. Anyone who thinks otherwise is in denial. This is just Trump bloviating, nothing new. And it doesn't affect my support one way or the other for him, I really don't care. I will align with him as needed to achieve certain policy outcomes.

Any election that is important in this country will go the other way to the Dems, for at least the near or distant future. The machinery is now too entrenched, and this sort of thing is not easy to undo. I'm not sure what more people need to see.

Being an all around piece of shite, and an anti abortion zealot, had more to do with it than the Dems reminding people of his Trump support.

You mean when the Wisconsin Republicans won 5/8 of the U.S. House seats and near supermajorities in the Wisconsin House and Senate?

Kelly very well could have done better. Why would anybody who supports Trump go out of their way to support somebody who spurns him?
Somebody else might have won if the brilliant GOPe in Wisconsin HAD RUN SOMEBODY DIFFERENT THAN THE SAME frickING GUY who lost by a couple hundred thousand last time. So now that guy who lost last time loses again and it is "Trump's fault?

They can get all the abortions they want while their state is gutted - good for them.

Proceeds to not comment on the numbers while going off on an unrelated tangent.

JJObama remains true to form.

The GOPe candidate lost in the primary to Kelly. It was the MAGA faction of the GOP that got Kelly the win in the primary.
